First time grower here. She is 28 days from sprouting. I’ve been doing lst for 5 days. I just did some defoliation and increased the number of stakes to individually train the nodes. I’m counting 7 nodes rn and I’m planning to continue training for more from the top since I never topped her. Any thoughts or recommendations going forward?

Wait! Is it an auto? If so dont do any thing to it, they grow so fast you dont have time to train, if you clip it stunts the plant…these are what i call inbetweens…you get to enjoy the fast grow while the big girls take their time…no topping, no training autos
@Teri ,No disrespect to you but please use the search bar at the top and put in training autos. I’ve been growing and training autos for 2 years plus there’s plenty plenty of people on here that train autos. @GoochsGanja ,If I was you I would take the stakes off the bottom branches and let them catch up with the top. Plants have a thing called a apical dominance and it’s going to send most of the nutrients and hormones to the tallest part of the plant. By bending the top over you are breaking the apical dominance in the main cola and she shifts to adding more nutrients to the lower branches.

New grower as well. If you don’t feel confident topping (it is easy, it’s just making the decision and doing). I’d definitely lst them. 8-10 colas verse one or two is much more appealing. At least to this cat. Welcome and good luck. Lots of good help here and search is always a go-to.
Also at that size I’m not sure I’d clip anything off yet unless it was unhealthy.

Here is 30 days old from seed just topped at 8th node so 16 mains I’m going to train till it fills 2x4
Here is one on my clones 50 days old that’s how it started vs how it looks 4 days ago I just took some clipping off it trying to let the apple fritter catch up
Here’s an update the next day of how it bounced back from the training adjustment. I appreciate the feedback and definitely plan to chill out on the stress to the plant from here on to not reduce yield.

ive been fighting breast cancer for… WOW close to 4 1/2 years, did not plant long term girls for 3 seasons now, just been enjoying my last two grows before a break, but LOL LOL listening to my husband every season say… are we going to start the girls this year we going to start the girls this year? He doesn’t even smoke LOL so this year for the second time I am going to try some Autos, BLUEBERRY KUSH…I’m tired of the same flavor and the same high, so I need something different. And definitely definitely definitely not a auto pro, or close to it on autos, lol obviously …I will definitely be following your grow log @DoneDeal to learn your secrets on autos! when I first started somebody old school said, autos suck… you can’t do shit with them but watch em grow… well my first grow obviously I didn’t know what I was doing, and just let em go… didn’t do anything with it but water, then it rained, they started getting bud rot so I just left it, but it kept growing, and, growing so the next season came up, so I just trimmed that little girl back, and she flourished! I am definitely not afraid to admit that I don’t know what the hell I’m doing! I mean after all what’s the worst thats going happen? Lol couple people making comments on how stupid I am, YEAH I CAN BE… or worse yet… I’m going to actually learn the proper way with @DoneDeals grow log LOL so now @DoneDeal can you direct me to your grow log?
