I am assuming you do, but cannot get a straight answer. Last I read you should ph balance after nutrients are added. Today when I was feed fox farms 3-2-2 on my plants the mixture was more acidic and it took about 2 tsp of ph up to balance it. Does this process sound right? I am still learning the nutrients and ph balancing.
From searching more posts it seems that I am supposed to balance with nutrients. Sorry for the requestion
Never hurts to double check. ![]()
Always adjust ph after nutes added. ![]()

I use FF and yeah, it drops the pH way down. Last feed took me 15 ml of pH up per gallon of water.
What do you mean by balance?
If you’re supplying supplemental microbes for your soil add those AFTER your nutes and the solution has been Ph’d to the proper range.
Wait till you start adding ALL the FF stuff and your Ph is around 3.5! LOL!
Always cracks me up that people sweat the little bit of chlorine in municipal water systems while they gladly dump a half a cup of straight up ACID into the water they’re about to use on their plants! At least chlorine is a legitimate micro-nutrient. Is acid? LOL!
FF liquid and powered trios dropped my pH from 7.7 to 4.4.
If i was using bottled nutrients i would ph after i mix it
with my tap water on feeding days the nutrients get my ph almost perfect, around 6.4-6.6, if its not a feeding day i have to use ph down, never had to use ph up yet
