Distressed Plant?

Just fed my plants and the runoff numbers we’re
Plant 1- PPM 662
Plant 2- PPM 675
Plant 3- PPM 680
Plant 4 Photo- PPM 702
PPM for just water was 220 and after Nutes mixed we’re 448

I did 16 ml of Cal Mag first then 5 ml of Micro, 5ml of Gro, 5ml of Bloom. PH 6.5

I’m assuming you didn’t have any Epsom Salt?

16ml of Calmag per gallon is to much!

So it looks as if you watered in 2 different times? Once with 16 mL of calmag and once with micro grow bloom if I’m reading correct?

Ok, that’s the numbers we’re looking for. Do you have the runoff pH numbers?

Important
Are you in 3 gallon bags?
How much runoff did you get after feeding?
How much water/feed did you give them?

I put 4 ml of Cal Mag per gallon, then mixed with nutrients and watered all together. I put 1 gallon of water in each pot and got about 2 cups of runoff. I also forgot to check the ph for the runoff :grimacing: I’m in 5 gallon bags

@Growdoc Are those ppms bad if so what should I do to fix it?

The PPMs suggest a bit more EC going in, BUT, need to know that ph, it’s more important than ppm, just not by much but ppm doesn’t matter if ph won’t allow uptake. As @Lostgirl said 16 ml was enough for 5 gallons, only need 2-5 per gallon .

Yeah I had a high moment there. Now I’ma have to wait several days again for the medium to dry out enough. I’ll make sure to check the ph and ppms next time

I’m assuming you didn’t use Epsom salt. I believe your plants will definitely benefit from it…

About your numbers
First off, always get the pH and PPM of your runoff. Always get the PPM of your feed mixture going in as well once it’s pH to 6.5.

Plant 1- PPM 662
Plant 2- PPM 675
Plant 3- PPM 680
Plant 4 Photo- PPM 702

These numbers are very low but your plants won’t starve but they will be hungry. In general never use more than 5 mil of calmag Max per gallon of water especially when you’re using tap water to mix your nutrients as most tap water contains a fair amount of calcium magnesium already.

It looks as if you used 5ml each of your base nutrients (micro grow and bloom) w/ 4ml Calmag on this last feed.

Basically you want to see your runoff numbers be a consistent 1000ppm (+/-150ppm) and pH 6.5 every time you water.

If your runoff numbers are below 1000ppm you need to feed more next time.

If your runoff numbers are above 1000ppm you need to feed less next time.

With that said, your one yellowing plant looks pretty bad. It could be the magnesium or the pH blocking out nutrients. Unfortunately you won’t be able to tell them to your next feeds runoff numbers.

Yeah I did a total of 15 ml of GP nutes to 4 gallons of tap water and 16 ml of Cal Mag to 4 gallons of tap. Ppms after nutes we’re mixed we’re 448

I would do Epsom salt at least on the one yellowing girl on your next feed.

I would up my feed to (per gallon)
1gal Tap water
5ml Calmag
7ml Micro
7ml Grow
7ml bloom

That should give you a lot better runoff numbers

PPM is a bit low, more importantly, what is runoff ph?

I screwed up and forgot to check the runoff ph this round. Last time it was at 5.8

Someone else suggested I skip Micro and Cal Mag all together and just feed 12.5 ml of Gro and 12.5 ml of Bloom. Would that help any?

Are you in soil?
