The seeds I planted were all Gorilla Cookies autoflower (Grower’s Choice), but as you can see the plants on the right are shorter and maturing faster than the plants on the left. Is it normal for the same genetics to vary this much or did I get two different strains in my seeds? These plants are 10 weeks old btw. I would guess 5 weeks into flowering, I’m not exactly sure when they went from veg to flower. I’m growing in soil, 4x4 tent, Mars-Hydro VC-6500 light, 5 gal fabric pots, Sensei Bloom nutrients.
Individual plants (referred to as phenotypes) can display differing growth characteristics. You can’t expect strains to grow identically just as you can’t expect brothers, sisters, or cousins to grow identically.
The only differences between the strains are the cannabinoid (THC, CBD, CBN,…) content, the terpine profile, and in some cases environmental tolerance and coloration at harvest.
Plants are like people or animals some are bigger some are smaller its just genetics the only way to really have any consistency is through cloning
#Genotype:
refers to an organism’s genetic makeup (the specific genes/DNA it carries).
#Phenotype:
is the observable traits or characteristics (like appearance, behavior) resulting from both the genotype and environmental influences.
That autoflower gene can really change things up sometimes
Ya really never know what your gonna get with autos, but i do see they are more " Stabilized" nowadays.
When autos first came out whew! We all grew some popsicle sticks.
Yours look great!
