I am growing two strains- both autoflower. I usually grow just feminized seeds. These are wildly different. I have, or had, 32 plants out of 40 seeds. Honestly, half that loss is my own fault. Not a problem, anyway. some of these are 5 ft tall and have an impressive spread. Some are 2 ft tall with no large branches. I did not nip any of the plants, as the zkittles strain seems to branch pretty good. The soil is the same and the sun and amendments are the same. The biggest difference I can see is that some plants’ root systems don’t seem to develop as well. I am not complaining- I assume that whatever is done to assure feminized, auto flowering plants can lead to the vastly different growth and yield. I grow a large number of plants to allow for such variations. So far, I have not found a way to predict which seedlings will do well. Next grow, I will individually mark each plant as a seedling and follow them with measurements of growth. I will revisit this if I have useful info.
@newby1 Hi there. No matter how many girls you have ,no 2 will be the same. Girls are so finicky and want to be different.
Without cloning from a mother plant, they’ll always have some degree of variation. Autos are really funny because they have that extra ruderalis gene thrown in. Some can flower in as little as 2-3 weeks. Some can take a couple of months. Then you get monsters and munchkins.
A 5-foot autoflower? Please share a pic or two. My current grow is 12 plants and not one, no not one, is the same as a sister. They are all the same genetics and strain White Widow.
5 foot pretty tall for an auto. They usually get about 3 feet.
Mine, so far, are in the 24-26 category.
3feet 3 inches from base to tip. Only stands like 9 inches off the surface of pot. I stunted her bad as a seedling then she recovered and I trained her like christmas tree cookie
Mine barely grow above the dirt. Maybe I’m starting to LST that first cola too soon. But my plants, almost all, are flying low.
