Gonna be purchasing a new dehumidifier soon. I don’t think I can do continuous drain, so a good size container will be required. Any recommendations are appreciated.

I think I got a TCL 50 pt. I love it. Have it hooked up to a drain hose. Never have to empty it.

I use a dehumidifier that has a hose as a drain. I set it on a table and it drains into a 5 gal bucket.

How often do you have to empty the bucket? Where in the country do you live? Are you concerned about the standing water?

South gulf coast. Humid as all get out. I’m in the garage and drain a hose out to an amaryllis plant. When I didnt use the hose I was emptying about twice a day.

I got a $30-40 one off eBay. Humidity reading is off and it did little to nothing to the humidity but gave me a cup or two of water.
I do not recommend going cheap.

Use the collected water from the dehumidifier to mix nutrients and feed the plants

Make sure the reservoir is clean if you do this… or if doing a continuous drain, make sure your container is clean… i made that mistake a long time ago in a land far far away… btw, both my dehumidifiers are hisense. I have one on continuous drain, the other i only use when the humidity is really bad. Im in the SE US and the humidity sucks here…

I bought the biggest Wally World carried. I’m using a flood table for my grow. I have to dump the water every 2 days. I just pour it back in the flood table.
