Stressed out. Me and the plants. Day 11 from sprout. Leaves are pointing downwards. This happened on day 9 after adding some ph down. After noticing ph went up to 6.8 after few days in the system.
3 seedlings placed into rdwc with top drip system and i plan on turning off the top when roots reach.
EC is 1230
Ph is about 5.9
Ppm is a whopping 630
(i think ppm went up pretty good when i added that ph down shouldve paid better attention)
I feel like it may be overwatering what it looks like but im new to this.. i turned the top drip water off last night and i dont see much of a difference . I havent done anything at this point but i may do an early res swap and flush i feel like may be a good idea. But that doesnt help if its overwatered i said res swap in case that ph down messed it up.. i have no clue what im doing hopefully someone can help ressurect these babies..
This is the progression right now today, since i took the original photos which where this afternoon and like i said the drooping started 2 days ago.
Im scared to look in the morning..
You know ive never done any growing and i jumped right into it starting with germinating in a humidity dome in rockwool.
I do appreciate the insight because i have no clue what im doing im just hoping for the best.
Hey thank you the price wasnt nice.. once i got invested it was over. I still potentially need a water chiller for the future and some ro water.. i use tap water but surprisingly no chloromine or nothing and ppm is like 98 which i think not that bad
Every cycle been going down or starting to look not so good… maybe i can turn the top drip back on since they were fine cause now im concerned about the rockwool being dried out by hydroton
Welcome to the neighborhood. Your plants look great to me. I don’t know anything about the way you are growing but it appears you are doing a good job.
Welcome to the forums. I just gotta say that to me, that’s an awfully high PPM and EC set of numbers for a seedling like that. Not saying that there aren’t people pushing those types of numbers, but usually it seems to be really big and experienced growers. But I’m not as experienced as others on here so I’ll wait for others to chime in. Good luck.
Looking good Grow Bro, it would help if you could get that RH above 65%. Ideal would be in the range of 65-75% for the first 3 weeks from seed. 78-85 on the temps help early vegging plants as well
You got me right when my humidifier ran out.. it normally at 63-69% i dont wanna push my lil one gallon humidifier cause it run out too quick.. week on germination was at 80%
Im using cronk nutrients.. the ppms and the ec are higher than it supposed to be.. i think ppm went up after a few days it was at a good range then it went crazy also my ph went hella up and i was like “wth” thats when i put ph down and at that point i noticed my ph was great but now my ppm and ec is high its the morning now and i took a look… very interestingly they did prop back up a tiny bit but…. Doesnt make sense why one of my plants look great and two look weird when they in the same environment getting the same attention ? @Darran im thinking about flushing but i dont know.. i schedule res swaps for sundays but maybe ill give it an early one i just dont want to do too much and let the plants have time to figure their life out
This one look fine to me.. why do they all look different? Is it because the distance from the resivour and nutrient availabilitu? Dli is at 16 right now then imma crank it up to 25 next week with the 18 on 6 off
Appreciate all the feedback.. straight rookie here im hoping to get at least a pound and some change im aiming high. Gonna low stress train fim and top everything… lets see how it grows… i will be updating heavy.
I accidentally started with week two i think i shouldve done week one.. idk im just gonna do week two again and pray for progress and get them on track nutrient wise.
Plants are doing good the one that pointed down did shift back up i didnt do anything but turn the water off for two days.. this stuff weird and inconsistent i feel..
I do have a big question tho. Im ready to up the light intensity today but dont know how.. should i be good just turning my nob up to 410 watts??
Its currently on 280 thats the lowest setting for my light. Platinum horticulture 680w..
Should i wait for next light on period or increase it now? Its the middle of the day for them
Will update photos in a couple days and see how the react to res swap today.
Fun fact the one on the bottom left was broken in half a few days before i transplants so i propped the 4 day old seedling up with toothpick and duct tape lol healed up nice but i noticed it grew funny cause it was focusing on fixing itself.. it fixed itself then i untaped it and transplanted them now thats my 2nd healthiest looking one..
Did res swap today i feel like my ec is very high after adding all the nutrients but im using tap water and im broke, i aint got nothing but my knuckles so i wont be using ro water no time soon
If water seems like a problem in the future ill invest but my water doesnt have chloromine and base ppm before nutrients is 190 which you tell me if thats bad??
Actions today: res swap, raise light
Increase light from 280 watts to 410 output
That one funny looking plant is still funny looking it worries me.
