Curing Question (THIS guy again?)

Greetings all!
Northern Lights Auto
On day 7 of cure, R/H holding steady at 61-62 with two-way moisture packs, burping twice daily decreasing to once daily starting tomorrow, total darkness in a box in a grow tent except for burping.
Question: With this being an auto-flower, will the buds tighten up and compact further along down the cure? I see mine and then see pics of other sample of NL and wonder. I grow mainly for the pleasure of growing and use mine mainly in brownies/cookies so “bag appeal” is not as important as commercial growers.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Please advise and thanks in advance.

Almost forgot: No ammonia smell, no hay smell but the buds are starting to develop a very nice earthy, piney smell the definitely hits you in the honker when you open the jars.

During my curing process, the buds do tighten up or shrink. But only to a certain point if they were loose to start with, they’re still gonna be loose during cure:cowboy_hat_face:

Get some grove bags and save a lot of time and headaches, they’re great, been using them years.

I think the bud pics that the seed vendors use is not 100% indicative of what you can expect your own grow to look like. So many factors come into play with the grow that make the bud develop the way it does… Once the bud develops, like ROG said, they pretty much stay the same way throughout curing. Some loosening, some tightening, but, in the end, about the same as they went into cure with… if anything, I lose mass and weight on an already larfy bud, but I make edibles mainly, so I use anything LOL.

If i grow outdoors I usually get fluffier buds. Indoor under hard lights, they seem to tighten up.

I’ve found the buds I’ve bought in dispensaries are vacuumed sealed at some point, making them tight and rock hard. Experimented with some of my own stuff that wasn’t the tightest.

Did it help?

That would make sense especially a commercial grower in terms of shipping space. As I have said in earlier posts, I have tried a sacrificial bud and my stuff is not lacking in punch, so to speak. Hell, I would have had trouble reading a stop sign. And I am along with Caligurl in that did vacuum sealing help? Thanks in advance.

Oh, lol, forgot to finish that thought… Yes, the vacuum sealing tightened the buds up quite a bit.

My experience with vacuum sealing is that it does tighten the buds up but they loose all shape. Mine come out like a hard rock of buds. I also think the vacuum sealing stops the curing process. I like the long slow cures in grove bags myself. Long term storage vacuum sealing is great. Just an opinion- and you know what they say about those

Yeah, I know all about opinions. I look at the pics of buds on Leafly and other sites and as myself WTF am I doing wrong? I almost want t sing that Sesame Street song, “One of these things is not like..” But then again, I’m not so much worries about “bag appeal”
