Please tell me they are not toast!

Greetings all!
Me again.
First off: Northern Lights Auto
Did my first harvest and trim in preparation for the cure (the process, not the band) I only harvested ~25% of my buds because the larger ones did not pass the “snap test”
Upon placing them in a sealed jar I went back and checked them, and I have a 49% humidity reading in the jar. Keep in mind that the curing jar was allowed about 6 hours to stabilize.
I did have some issues early in the drying phase in that I could not get the desired 60/60 numbers. Mainly it was the temp but RH was also giving me fits.
That being said, did I over-dry? Are they the proverbial toast? I only smoke occasionally and mainly use any bud I have for brownies/cookies.
Thoughts? Advice? The homeless downtown are going to be happy?

Over dried buds may not taste as good but they will get you buzzed. Because I grow strictly for personal use, it I miss target values I don’t worry about it.

I posted earlier that although I don’t normally smoke, I did try a sacrificial bad. I could not even read a stop sign, so they do pack a wallop. And sticky? Ever 5 minutes I had to clean my scissors. Thanks for the input. I, like you, grow for personal use and to give to the occasional friend. Oh, and college girls…can’t forget them. LOL (kidding!)

I give away a few zips here and there. I figure if they don’t like my buds, no sweat. It didn’t cost them anything.

That said, the few that I have given it to gave it high marks on effect and flavor. Even when I miss target values during the dry and cure.

I have been researching steps to take to reach the vaunted “60/60” I am not spending $1200 for a dedicated drying/curing cabinet. I can and do spend my money elsewhere.

1200$ for that car will get you lug nuts and a tank of gas.

Trust me. I know. Tires ran me $1300 plus shipping and NOT mounted. But, the “smiles per mile” factor is way up there. And I did put new lugs on her to match the wheels - $450. UGH

The car is mine. The dude who looks like he is from the cast of ‘Deliverance’ is not me.

If you over dry your buds just wet a paper towel and wring the water out so it don’t drip. Take the lid off and put the paper towel over the mouth of the jar and put the lid back on. It will put you back where you need to be pretty quick. I put a mini hydrometer in there to check. I actually put hydrometers in every jar.

Very nice! So, you also know “what organ can I do without to pay for these tires?” Scenario.

1300 for tires is close to normal though lol. Just paid almost 1100 for tires on my fusion

Was it the carhartt bibs or camo that gave him away? Asking for a friend because I would never dress like this
