Hi Folks,

About three weeks ago an unexpected and unavoidable obligation far from home meant I had to rush a plant’s harvest / drying more than I’d have liked. I had only four days between chopping and having to take off.

So I wet trimmed, and then dried the buds individually on one of those mesh drying racks, hung in my tent with decent airflow. 18c/60rh for four days. I then bagged everything in those Grove terplock bags with a Boveda humidipak (58-62%).

Three weeks later I’m back now, and put a hygrometer in one of the Grove bags and it showed 65% rh. Not ideal, right? Should I do what seems the logical thing and let the buds drys out a little more before putting them back in the bags?

Or has this ship sailed and I’ve simply messed up? I checked for mould and stuff and everything looks ok, even if there’s a whiff of “hay” still coming off the buds.

Any advice appreciated!

As long as you triple check everything for mold - then they’ll be ok - but you’ll want to dry them a little more since 65%rh is on the high end and where mold can start growing.
It’s when you drop less than 55%rh that curing can stop and then you get stuck with the hay smell/taste.

Also, double check that your hygrometer you put in the bag is accurately reading rh. Sometimes it takes them a while to adjust as well (multiple hours).

65% in the Grove Bags is acceptable Grow Bro. Opening the bags a few times for samples will drop that back to around 58-60% :love_you_gesture:
