Could i go to jacks 321 ??? Or can i do something else beside fox farm ??? I have used calmag on them and it did help …Any suggestions?? Yes. I switched from the Trio to Jack’s in the middle of a grow last year. No problems at all.

@MidwestGuy what strains were in the grow last year

I think it was a blue mystic. Are you concerned that different strains might react differently? Don’t be if so. There are some minor difference in strains like coloration or mold resistance, but the only big difference between strains is cannabinoid content and terpine profiles.

No …no worries about that just curious

There should be zero issues going from FF to Jack’s. I would like to see runoff TDS and PH and what soil is in use. You may also want to add a crap-ton of more holes in your buckets up the sides to improve O to the root zone.

I made the same switch 3 grows ago, no issues and no regrets. Love the jacks, best buds I’ve grown. Also went from FFOF to Roots Organic original soil. A great combo from my results.

@Myfriendis410 i wondered about the soil level myself i will do that when i get off of work, and i will post more pictures of the ladies then as well these pictures were taken about 10 days ago. The soil is nothing special actually it is miracle grow potting soil mixed with some local dirt so it is a mix of home made …it did well with the tomatoes so i thought i would give it a try with this

Hi there. I switched from FF to Jack’s 321 and now am doing a trial with Gold Leaf Fertilizer.
I haven’t killed anything yet. This is week 4 with GLF.

This may cause problems as M.G. runs really low PH. Your homemade mix added may have brought it up some but you might need to top dress the medium with dolomitic lime to buffer at a higher PH that plants can tolerate better.

@Myfriendis410 can you explain  …do i mix this dolomitic lime to the soil that is already there or mix it with the soil that i will add adding to fill the top of the buckets? I was going to purchase some already mixed soil but u dont know what to get

If at all possible stay away from M.G. It has harsh fertilizers in it that you can not flush away and they will nuke your plants. There is no PH buffering to it so often you see PH numbers in the low 3’s which is way too acidic for weed.

Dolomitic lime can be mixed in to the soil or top-dressed and watered in. It should raise PH and hold it in a better range so cannabis can access nutrients. First you need to pull 1/4 cup of soil and add to a cup of distilled water, let stand for 30 minutes then measure the PH. If it’s low, 1/2 cup of lime should bring it up a point or two.

Ideally you want to use a medium designed for cannabis: FF, Scott’s Black Magic, Roots Organics etc are all designed for that purpose.

Great Info here !! Jacks also makes a Bloom Boost that is for first 2 weeks of flower, then back to regular schedule thru harvest. I really dig the Jacks. Simple. Good luck !
