**couch lock**⚠️

Okay guys, some of you like it some of you don’t. Let’s talk about couch lock for a minute.

I want to purposely let one of my plants turnabout 50% Amber just to see what couch locks all about.

Is it a bad feeling?. Are you like just totally fuc$ed-up?

I want to hear your definition of couch lock. Why you liked it and why you didn’t. Thank you in advance for your feedback

For me, it’s a more “wasted” feeling, and I don’t mind that at all. I’ll watch stand up or listen to music or something I can just get gelatinous doing.

I love it. Thanks for the input. Speaking of stand up. Have you seen any of the 3 Brad Williams stand up specials? (he’s a midget comedian). He is insane!

Couch lock for me is an absence of pain. I no longer am aware of my body. I’m just a mind floating into the night sky. I literally feel nothing.

Thanks @Bamarayne
Sometimes that’s just the Dr ordered!

Letting trichs go to amber is only really half of the story here. There are some varieties that will have a very stoney feel even at roughly 100% cloudy trichs. Some that will still be kinda racey with a lot of amber. Sometimes conditioning trichs won’t supercede the genetics.

In my experience taking to a lot of amber trichs will make you sleepy, eventually. But sleepy isn’t the same as stoned stupid and unable to function, which is what I would consider couch lock. I would just be somewhat considerate of which strains you target a lot of amber trichs with.

In my day there was dirt weed (lucky to catch a buzz) Weed that got you up and motivated. And weed that got you lost in your backyard. (Obliviated)

I haven’t smoked in 35 years. Just want to know what I’m looking at on “couch lock” I stopped in the 80’s because weed made me paranoid. And that’s what I don’t want.

Good sleep or checking out but use that at bed time smoke for me. Be careful…letting them go too far can degrade the THC and estimating amber % can be difficult. I use a heavy Indica for sleeping and still harvest at 100% milky or close :love_you_gesture:

Harvesting too soon can give you this effect, made that mistake when I 1st started and never again. Racing heart and paranoia for sure :love_you_gesture:

@Lostgirl

I have significant sleeping problems. I fall asleep instantly but can’t stay asleep. Miserable.

I like couch lock (to an extent). I take it about an hour before bed.

Got lots of sleepy time weed so this time I’m raising Acapulco Gold Sativa in hopes of some uplifting weed. I wanna giggle like a school girl.

I really don’t like the couch lock other than giving me a good night sleep. I am looking forward to harvesting my AC and hope it’s uplifting.

Couch lock equals laziness. Lack of motvation… never been a buzz i couldnt accomplish work, get something done being under thr influence.

I dislike useing cannabis as an excuse of why things didnt get done.

Rubber legs and arms, and a very heavy body buzz for me. Brain fog is real, and sleepiness. Not a huge fan.

I’m still looking for this strain!!! :joy:

I love it when needed. Sometimes “In the shuffling madness” I need to rember to stop. That was a big reason I turned back to weed.
Up till about 2 years ago I would push and push myself. It got to the point where my body just gave up and soon my mind did as well. Took several month to recover from that crash. Never againe.
