Checking CBD flower

First time posting here been lerking for awhile, finishing up my first autoflower grow. ILGM blueberry and amnesia haze for the wife. A few weeks into flower I dropped a sour space candy cbd bag seed and it germed. I’ve been reading a lot about when to harvest the autos, but does the same apply to cbd? I just got a jewelers loop and keeping an eye on the autos but when close to ready what do I look for with the cbd?

Not sure if there the same. let tag a few who grow CBD @MrPeat @kaptain3d

Any help appreciated found this strain and really like it. Fingers crossed it’s a girl.

I believe @MrPeat has more experience with those. But, unless I’m proven wrong, I treat my cbd strain the same as the others. I will go by the breeder’s estimate and check the trichomes when I get near completion. I will probably wait for more amber than usual for me, for the sedative effect…

@Turbonelson As @kaptain3d said you treat a CBD strain like you would a Photo that isn’t CBD. Harvest how you like the trichomes. :+1::+1::+1:

@MrPeat @kaptain3d @Deepsix thank you all for your help. I’m using this plant for training purposes. Trying to do some main lining and get familiar with the process of growing a photo plant. If I get a little smoke out of it, it’s a win win.

If you’re into mainlining, you owe it to yourself to look at @arrow’s journals…

@kaptain3d I’ve finished up my autoflower grow and still mainlining my CBD plant. I dropped two more auto seeds, but now I’m thinking I might run out of room when I flip the cbd to flower. I got a spot I have my eye on to make a little grow room but I only have one exaust fan and carbon filter. My question is does the cbd plants you grow get as skunky as marijuana plants? Or can I get away with growing without a filter

The one I grew was as stinky as a “regular” cannabis… but she had 23 % THC and 25% CBD…
