This is my first time with a cbd strain, Fast Buds 20:1 CBD. My question is when to harvest. Am I still going by the trichomes? Being that this is 0.5% to 0.8% thc I wasn’t sure how to determine when to call her “done”. I still have plenty of white pistols, the trichomes are cloudy but no amber. She’s at 8-9 weeks.
Meh… ive researched this topic to the moon n back. It definitely needs some studies.
General consensus? CBD’s are naturally determined at birth. Whatever the strain says is peak is probably it. The strains i grew had 5-10 THC so i still went by the trichs with a few buds. Even the cloudy/clear ones had nice kick, but the cloudy amber ones (im guessing cuz of the thc) were soooo much better.
Since ur growing with so little thc, id aim for the max cloudy with swell as possible. CBD deteriorates MUCH slower then THC so ur window is more open as to when, but u dont have to aim for 10+ week flowers shooting for amber neither.

Perfect person. She has wuote a few recipes floating around the site. Even a thread just for them somewhere. No need to really share trichs. U just want fullen swollen buds and maturish trichs. Maybe stagger ur harvest and try diff harvests seperately?
Like i said i preferred amber. But i like mindlock and my plants also had thc. Ur mileage may vary

She’s probably ready. That cloudy/Amber is really for THC. Aim for about 50% or more darkened pistils
