High cbd amber trichomes

Does anyone know if harvesting a low thc high cbd strain when the trichomes are more amber will have the same effect as your usual strains with mid to high thc levels?

I usually harvest CBD rich plants earlier, maybe 50% clear/50% cloudy. The CBN levels are present in higher concentration in amber trichs, so would be great for the sleepy/couch lock. But as far as the intoxication/euphoria part, I would wager no. The THC by that point is converting at least partially to CBN. In my opinion, you’ll be more sedentary but not more stoned.

I agree. CBD’s are supposedly determined more by genetics then by maturity period. I’m pretty sure high CBD plants have a decent content even in early/mid flowering. Once the buds look ripe, and are swollen, it’s probably a good time to harvest.

Like @TransplantedFarmgirl stated, amber is THC converting to CBN. So mostly cloudy should be optimal.

Ill for sure let you know when i do. I have 2 cbd plants, im harvesting one tomorrow which is cloudy with very little amber. The other one im going to let go amber. Hoping to make concentrates to use for daytime with one. And the other for night time use while im on t-breaks.

I let my Cannatonic go amber and it didn’t help with the euphoric high. It’s a great headache and sore muscle medicine but doesn’t get you stoned. I mix it with other strains so I can get the best of both worlds :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::grin:
