I had a an old friend who used to put his bids on the stove on simmer for like 8 hrs. To make his butter. I was wondering what you folks do…
If I’m not mistaken He never decarbed it first just threw it on the stove for HOURS in unsalted butter.
If you put it in a croc pot or slow simmer is that good enough? Or do you still need to decarb it? Aslo I was thinking about doing the trim I had and a half oz for two sticks of butter… Is that good how much do y’all folks use???

I used to do budder in the crockpot but have since gone to ethanol extraction to infuse with.
A couple of suggestions: coconut oil presses out of the cooked plant material much better and can be used to cook with same as butter. Adding a tablespoon of sunflower lecithin will help your liver uptake the THC for a longer high. Cooking in the crockpot for 4 hours is plenty. Add a cup of water and cook your oil until the water has evaporated. Stir periodically. No need to decarb first. Remember trim is around 20% of the potency of flower. I would normally do 16 oz (by weight) of oil to 2 oz. of mixed flower and trim. No idea of potency.
It makes stony budder but it does have a ‘weedy’ taste and smell. One of the reasons I do alcohol extraction now.

I ended up putting it on the stove with water and keeping the temp around 180 to 200 for about 3 hours. Added some water. The. Put it on the fridge. This morning I selerared the butter and water. I tried a little last night and slept like a log. So I’m gonna go with it worked!

Tasted good!I strained it after through cheese cloth. Then after I just took a piece of bread and cleaned the pot with it and ate it. Tonight I’m making cookies. I ended up using a stick and a half of butter with 5 grams of freshly cured weed and trim from one plant. And every time it thickened up I just added water.

In a box of brownies or coffee cake mix can you substitute butter for oil in the ingredients???
yes but beware of dosing and don’t bake for too long as it will degrade the thc in the oil.
Huffing and puffing but just finished making 3 sticks of butter with an ounce of trim. Recipe calls for 2/3 cup of oil so i have some left over for my toast and coffee!
I got the Ecru decarb, infuser on Amazon and love it. I only use it to infuse. I still decarb in the oven. 230° for 30 to 35 minutes. Then used 1 lb of butter to about 32 grams of flower. I has an auto temp set for infusion drop the weed in the melted butter and set the timer for 3 hrs. Once its done, I strain it through cheese cloth and pour it into silicone butter molds. In the fridge overnight, and bake brownies the next day. Usually 1/2 a brownie will get you nicely high for about 3 to four hours.

Ya ill end up putting 3/4oz of weed into 9 3x3 x3 brownies. That ought to do it i hope.
