So my plant took about 8 days to dry, i never let the bud get super dry. Im curious if i didnt let the bud dry enough or something. When it first was dry, it tasted perfect and like it was already cured. As a few weeks went on, the taste got less fruity and more harsh. I’m woundering if its maybe where i didnt let the bud dry enough or something. Using grove bags to cure by the way. Anybody had this happen before?
Do you have a small hygrometer in the bags? Just curious if their still gassing off in the sealed bags
U getting most of the leaf off? Try jaring earlier next time and burp more often.
I see many now use old refrigerators to dry at lower temps and claim to have great results in the smell and taste department.
What method did you use to dry the 8 days? I think that after 3 months the taste is at optimum. Although after 4-5 weeks they should be optimally dry the extra time seems to eliminate most of the chlorophyll and improve taste.
I do the week of flush and 24-48 hours of darkness prior to chopping.
Try this as a guideline.
Nutrient can remain in buds if not flushed imo. And chlorophyll dissipates over time. Higher temperatures and low humidity during the process of the cure can dissipate terpenes.
Happy cake day my friend .
Appreciate that Brother and hoping all is well with the retirement or semi-retirement
Happy cake day @OGIncognito !
@OGIncognito Happy Cake Day brother.
Appreciate that grow Bro
Right on Brother and much appreciated. Hoping all is well with you and the family
Enjoy this most fabulous day!
If the bud wasent dry enough and you put it to cure. That can happen. It gets moldy drying to me is the hardest part of growing. Everything has to be right. And I just let my summer grow cure for weeks. And as I was smoking it. I kept it in the dark and in jars. Every time I opened them the smell got better and better. Bags to me don’t hold out the oxygen it will never cure like in a jar
Happy cake day my friend @OGIncognito. Hope you enjoy your special day!

Semi retirement for me Best of both worlds.
