Bud Rot or are is it just covered in trichomes

Hey guys sorry bug you. I went about a month couldn’t get humidity down below. Everybody kept saying say thing air conditioning etc I tore my whole house apart trying accommodate this situation. Anyways I read on here throw some heat to it. Bingo fixed it almost immediately. Anyway I’m very fortunate. I think. But I have one plant with a lot extra dust on it. And it looks kinda like it’s got the Mange. Still beautiful though. Also she’s in flowering 6 weeks. Big bud (indica). Should I pull it and practice my drying curing. Save the others or let her. I’m real nervous on cure. I ruin some good bud last time. Because no p Patience and my environment dried it in three days. It Crumbled to dust. Non the least. Still got you blizzard. But truth is. I can buy regular crap for cheaper and less work. But if anybody remembers me talking. I trying for the knock out tko . (Kind bud, that kush. Loud. Whatever generation you good folks or from. Then you know what I’m talking bout. I got both strains going. I got my work meds and my night time meds. I know they need hurry because the smell has got this entire address smelling a lot of different ways. But sorry for long chat. I enjoy y’all’s feedback

You’ve got a lot going on with your grow, and it sounds like you’re putting in the effort to make it work!
Do you have pictures? What humidity range are you working with? 6 weeks into flower humidity should be 50-45%. Get a de humidifier, Maybe even close the area off so you could get it into range. When you say throw some heat, what’s the temperature range?

The Mold Concern
• If you suspect mold on one plant (the one that looks “mangy” with extra dust), you need to isolate it immediately to prevent any potential spores from spreading to the healthy plants.
• Inspect the plant closely. If the “dust” is white and webby, it could be powdery mildew. If it’s grayish or dark, it could be botrytis (bud rot).
• For powdery mildew, you can gently wipe affected leaves with a mix of water and milk (1:9 ratio) or potassium bicarbonate. For botrytis, unfortunately, affected buds should be cut off and disposed of.

Harvesting the Suspect Plant
• Since you’re 6 weeks into flowering, it’s close, but not ideal. Most indicas like Big Bud need 8–9 weeks to fully mature. However, if mold is present, it’s better to harvest early than risk losing the plant or contaminating others.
• Use this as a chance to practice your drying and curing. With some trial and error, you’ll refine the process. You’ll need lower humidity like 45-50%. I tend to dry for 10 days or until I can snap the branch and hear it crack a bit. Sometimes a paper bag is needed to fully dry it for a humidity meter to read 58-62%. Maybe even a humidity packet is needed if dry too much in groove bags.

Drying and Curing Process
• Drying Environment: Ideal conditions are 60°F–70°F (15°C–21°C) If your environment dries too fast, consider:
• Hanging buds in a cardboard box with some ventilation holes to slow drying.
• Adding a small humidifier if the air is very dry.
• Curing: After drying (stems snap, not bend), place buds in jars and “burp” them daily for the first week—open the lids for 10–15 minutes to release moisture. Use hygrometers in jars to monitor humidity (aim for 58%–62%). Groove bags you don’t need to burp so it’s ideal for a busy man! Or women
• If you’re aiming for that heavy-hitting, sedative effect:
• Let the trichomes dictate when to harvest. Check with a magnifier or jeweler’s loupe—when about 10–20% of trichomes are amber, and the rest are cloudy, it’s peak potency for indica strains. Or test the ranges and find out!

A Final Note on Patience
• Growing quality cannabis takes patience, especially during the drying and curing stages. Rushing will always compromise flavor, aroma, and potency. Think of curing like aging wine—it’s worth it!

If you’ve got more specific concerns about drying or curing, or need help identifying mold, feel free to share more details. You’re trying your best and that’s all that matters but keep it simple instead of tearing your house apart bro!

All the trichomes still clear. I wanted to hold out this as long as possible. I want good bud. Not really couch lock bud. I want quality. I have it isolated but just today. I’ve suspected for like a couple weeks now. It still smells great. And looks great. But now I think I have my big tent over crowded. I think I over did it this time. Trying make up for last time.here is the suspect plant.

I tried to tag u for my photos. Not sure how. But hopefully you seee them when you get back on here

Camera quality only goes so far but it all looks solid to me. Take a picture of the suspected mildew up real closer if you can. If you got a iPhone put the lens zoom all the way down and snap that pic. It looks like good frost to me. I think you might be mistaking the trichomes as mold. Use your phone as a magnifying glass if you can, if you know what I’m saying. My first grow I was flipping out thinking the trichomes was mold as well

For the clear pics i can zoom in on i dont see any rot or signs of rot. Buds looking nice.

I agree with this. Whatever spots you think are "suspect " snap a pic and share thoes.

what is your average humidity and like the people above said Everything looks good there I’m not seeing any brown spots

Thanks guys all y’all’s help. No signs of rot. I think I chopped early. Still had lot clear trichomes. But I still got four sativa I can hopefully demonstrate better patients.
