Mold at week 9 of flower :( (again)

Hello everyone, once again im losing ground to mold at the end of flower…

Chop as soon as lights go off again?
They are still moist, so maybe wait a few days until the pots dry completely to chop?
Wet trim?

Not nearly as bad as my first grow when i lost basically everything from 5 flowering plants…
I had 3 this round, the first one to get mold a week ago was a tiny 10" plant that i didn’t killed before because i had extra space…
The other 2 plants looked fine at that time, a week ago…
No idea of strain, they are supposed to be the same strain but one looks full Sativa and the other is full Indica (structure, looks wise)
So, the Sativa looking one is looking amazing, but seems like it would use a few more weeks to get to max potential…
Today i checked on them, and, of course, the Indica looking one had a few weirded leaves on the top of a cola, so i checked inside and it was rotting already.
Just this one bud.
The plant looks pretty healthy otherwise on every other flower.

Pic of one of the colas from the plant that started to rot
(indica looking one)

1 HLG 135 Rspec on top of the Sativa looking one, 1 Roleadro 800w (128W real) 3500k over the Indica looking one…
Ac infinity 4" at full speed
Temps between 20°C and 29°C
RH between 60% to 85% (i know, just can’t afford it right now, but a decent DH is next on the list)
4’x4’x6’7"
One fan moving air below canopy, one small fan blowing on the HLG’s heatsink and that air kind of moves the tops of the canopy a bit…
(i know i need better ventilation and a real dehumidifier)

End of week 9 since first signs of flower for both plants (10 weeks since lights switch to 12/12)

If the plant already showed mold on a bud, does that mean that the whole plant is infected by mold and is trash now?
Seems pretty healthy, but also have seen healthy looking flowers get mold out of nowhere, even while drying…
Any suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated

That a bummer, I would do an inspection of the plant cut out the Affected mold areas ,and plan on doing a proxide Bud wash on the remaining buds. Good luck my friend !

You already know the problem.

Can you increase the exhaust and inflow? You need more air movement.

At 60-85% RH, I would say your girl is probably going to continue to get infested. Need a dehumidifier or you will continue to have this issue.

So sorry!! After all the work that goes into these plants and to have that happen! :smiling_face_with_tear::v:

Already took down the affected part, inspected carefully both plants, and have the H2o2 at hand…
Kind of don’t really want to wash them because of humidity here…
We’ll see in 1 or 2 days tops how they look…

This is frustrating…
But im right there with my grows, just need to solve the humidity and im golden for the future…

I already am at maximum air flow with my tools…
Definitely something that i can improve a bit more in the future…

When harvesting, should i cut all the branches and maybe separate the flowers from the stalks to put them to dry?
To dry faster?

Or would you hang the whole plant to dry if you are almost sure it has mold?

@DMD You might look at the timing of your inside grow I know my environment Winter grow to summer grow does change a bit. Pick the 4 months you feel like will be best for your grow. As mentioned air flow being your plant’s best friend. Just my thoughts good luck my friend !

My thoughts are to separate, inspect, and get rid of infected buds. Definitely need to dry in the 50% range if possible.

Will try to do some research on what are the dryer months in my area, but this is Colombia, and I’m right against a rainforest reservation, lol
It rains here randomly most of the year
And the jungle holds the humidity much longer that open areas…
I believe my best bet would be to grow indoors during the outdoors season here…
Try and be starting flowering around July…

I would recommend at least a 6”

Do you have an intake fan blowing fresh air in the tent?
I would recommend at least one 6 inch fan blowing in too of heat sink and at least four 6 inch clip on fans blowing on your top canopy, also so it provides good air movement in your tent.
Good luck

Yeah man, i cheaped out initially on the 4" ac infinity, but definitely need the 6"…
Also need lots of fans inside, but stuff is relatively expensive here in Colombia, so it all has to wait for the money to come slowly…

I have 2 lower 6" intakes with a small 6" floor fan between them inside the tent at floor level, so the fresh air is moved below canopy…
I need more fans
