Brown Buds, Not sure if Rot

I harvested my Pineapple Kush plant 4 days ago, wet trimmed, and hung to dry. Drying conditions are a closet in my basement that I don’t have the most control over. Temps have been 70-80F, humidity 40-55. They are turning a little brown on the outside, under some lights it looks more brown than others. But the brown color seems to be mostly on the outside of the bud, rather than the inside by the stem. I’m not sure if this is bud rot, or just not ideal drying temps plus the dried hairs turning brown/amber

Here’s a pic not in full sun

Hay I don’t think it’s rot but I’m only like 80% sure. I’ve seen buds go amber and almost brown after harvest. Buds dried in my cold dry garage go dark. And outdoors grown til it’s cold out. Not sure. Does it pull apart really easily softer than normal? Post more pics?

The buds are dry and crispy on the outside, but the stems are still bending

They should. Stems snapping should only be possible after cure.

Now let me ask you this, I have one branch where the stem sort of bends like it’s rubber in every direction, rather than how it normally sort of bends to a crease. Is that normal?

A silica deficiency would cause it but I’ve grown plants with silica that had rubbery, floppy stems. It happens.

Kind of like this:

They look good to me bro. I don’t see any bud rot at all. They’ll probably darken a bit more during your cure. Every time I’ve seen true bud rot, there’s no green what so ever.

They look normal to me too. Congrats on your harvest :v:

How long did you take to dry it

They’re still drying, but those pics were after 4 days.

How are you drying? What temps and Rh.
