It’s better to have too much than not enough especially with lights. :victory_hand::love_you_gesture::oncoming_fist:

I was slowly getting tired of the little 100w that came with the tent. I’m glad I pulled the plug and got this one but maybe should have went with the 200-250w

No you did good you can upsize your tent and still be good with your light! :flexed_biceps::victory_hand::love_you_gesture:

I currently have no room for a bigger tent right now, but should have plenty once we move :love_you_gesture:t3::ok_hand:t3:

Took the lights off the cable wire the light was sent with and just hung the light with the hangers. Gave me a lot more room to work with. I now have at least 23” from the light. Should I keep it at 18” or move it up to 23”

If the plants aren’t complaining I wouldn’t yet. They look really good My Brother. :+1::victory_hand::love_you_gesture:

My only concern really is the yellowing tips, they been there for a few days. I lowered the mS slightly down to 2.2. I haven’t seen it progress much after noticing it a few days ago. So I wasn’t sure if it was just the light or what ?

Yellowing tips isn’t a big concern usually… It just means that you’re pushing the nutrients to the planties capabilities to use them. Just the tips yellow= good thing. More than that, ease off on the nutrients first, imo…

Thanks Kap, once I seen it it was right after the new light was put in. Two days after I checked the ms and that was up to 2.4 so I lowered it back down to 2.2 and I haven’t noticed if it progressed or not. Sounds good. I will leave it at 18” at 50% intensity

I used to push mine till I see tip burn then back off. Yours looks like mine as far as the tip burn. And you backed off a tad so you should be good. But now I’m trying a lil different approach. Just goin with the schedule this time and not tweakin it. I’ll let you know how it works out :victory_hand::love_you_gesture::oncoming_fist:

Here’s some info you may like on the symptoms of light/heat stress. :victory_hand::love_you_gesture:

Heat stress from excessive light intensity (often called “light burn” or “photo-bleaching”) typically presents on the top canopy of cannabis plants, appearing as yellowing, curling, or white-bleached leaves and buds

. When lights are too close or too intense, the plant cannot properly photosynthesize, resulting in burned tissue that often becomes stiff and crispy.

Visual Indicators of High Light/Heat Stress:

  • Upward Curling (“Tacoing”): Leaves curl upward at the edges to reduce surface area, creating a taco or canoe shape.

  • Bleached/White Buds & Leaves: Top buds or leaves turn bright white or pale yellow, losing all color because they are too close to LED lights.

  • Yellow Leaves with Green Veins: Leaves at the top turn yellow while the veins remain green.

  • Brown/Rust-Colored Spots: Tips and edges of upper leaves turn brown, crispy, and brittle.

  • Foxtailing: Flowering plants may develop thin, airy, or mutated bud growth (foxtails) as a defense against high heat.

Key Differences from Other Issues:
Unlike nutrient deficiencies, which usually start from the bottom leaves upward, light burn is most severe on the top canopy. Heat-stressed leaves will likely curl up instead of lying flat.

Aye I watch his YouTube videos LOL. But that makes a lot of sense. Maybe moving from 100 w to 300w she wasn’t use to it and she threw a little fit. I haven’t noticed it spreading or getting worse. I’ll push her another 2 days at the same height and intensity and go from there. So Friday maybe go ahead and move her up to 60% being that will be 4 days total at 50% and 18” clearance from light

Also I do not have tacoing , bleached white buds and leaves, brown rust spots or foxtailing but the tips definitely different  they are not crispy or anything of the sort they still soft and just slightly discolored

You don’t have light or heat stress. I was just giving you info so you will know what the symptoms are. And what to look for. :victory_hand::love_you_gesture::oncoming_fist:

good chance your just getting enough pressure form the new light to see painted nails. It’s probably a good thing. No big deal unless the tips turn brown or burnt. Just yellow is nothing to worry about. Girls are looking solid bro.

The yellow tips are no doubt nute burn. But you caught it in time. You’re good to go from that. And I don’t see any other problem :victory_hand::love_you_gesture::oncoming_fist:

Sorry, I just realized that wasn’t the most clear way to phrase that. I meant It’s a good thing your light is driving the enough increased respiration to see osmotic stress. I didn’t mean to say that stressed state shouldn’t be corrected by reducing EC or increasing irrigation.
