Starting another grow, I guess yall can say I became addicted to this new hobby lol. Big Wreck is this go around so we’ll see what she brings.
October 7th, Germination day 5 - Tap Root Sprouted. About 1-2cm long.
Planted on the 7th as well.
October 9th - still waiting for her to pop up out of the coco.
I’m using canna coco %70 and %30 perlite.
For nutes this go around I’m using strictly foop products only and feeding through the top til harvest time.
Temperature is around 68-70 unfortunately it won’t get any higher due to being in fall now. Hopefully that is not restricting it from popping up out of the coco.
Relative humidity is between 65-75. Took down the dehumidifier and replaced it with a humidifier until late veg.
Still running the 2.3x2.3x5 spider farmer tent with the 300 watt light. Going to see about filling the entire tent this go around with 1 plant and see about a height of 3 ft in veg and hope she doesn’t sprout past 5 feet in stretch beings I’m mainlining first and then allowing her to veg upwards. So all in all I’m hoping with the mainline it keeps most of the height pretty low until I run out of room and then have no choice but to allow her to grow upwards from there.
Yes I am growing it in a wawa cup at first and then moving it to a bigger pot from there and then to her final home in the 5 gallon fabric pots. I was going to use a red solo cup but figured it would be easier seeing what’s going on with a clear cup. I have about 6-7 holes in the cup as well on the bottom for drainage.
Do you have an internet, cable box, or something like that you can set it on? I direct sow my seeds in moist soil, and set it on top of my internet box. This one came up in 2 1/2 days, and is on day 11 from breaking ground.
I used FOOP on my last run in soil with very good success. If you didn’t check they do have different instructions for Coco, just a heads up if you did not notice it. Good luck on the grow.
Thanks pat! I am actually familiar with them. I used them on one on my plants the previous grow and I like how the foop was over the Gaia green. I have CALiMAGic that I used with it the last time and it worked great.
Dex started in the solo and put the solo in the final. Once he is ready, he will remove it from the solo and drop in the hole. I do the same thing when transplanting.
October 11th she ended up peeking through. Took the advice and put a red solo cup around her beings she’s gonna be dealing with 18/6 cycle now. Both cups have holes. Let the fun begin !!

Seedling Day 5 and she’s moving along great. Temps held at 70-78. Rh is holding at 68-74 with the help of a humidifier. Giving water every two days ( small amounts ).

Today marks day 9 of seedling. Got the first set of true leaves already. She growing at a rapid speed. Roots are flying all around the cup already. I’ll attach a few pictures including how much water I’m using could yall tell me if I should start to up the water in take ??

if your still watering every other day. you may be overdoing it just slightly. I wait for the top layer of soil to dry then give them 23-30 ml a few drops at a time with a syringe so the medium has time to absorb the water. Usually That’s every 3 -4 days for me, but my setup is quite a bit different. So the actual time it takes to dry may be different for you.
So I been doing every 2-3 days with the watering. I’m still using canna coco as well so I’m still trying to figure out do I keep the coco moist by sprits with a water bottle or to just continue on how I’m going about it. So far I’ve seen no signs of anything going wrong just more so her growing at least a few inches every two days. She’s definitely growing a lot faster than the others 2 that just got done. If I give her one cup water doesn’t even come out the bottom it gets soaked right up. But if I put 1.5 of those cups water comes out the bottom.
