First time doing autoflowers. Have grown in tent for a while with regular seeds. What size pots and anything that is different that I need to do. Is there a auto tutorial anywhere?
I use 3 gallon pots. Only thing i noticed(first time grower) was that the autoflowers do their own thing. Mine went from being 4-5 inches tall for 2 weeks to being a foot tall over the course of a week. Then a week later they started to flower. Next grow ill make sure to LST(light stress train) earlier on and topping i’d do a bit earlier, but i think i’d do autoflowers from here on out because they basically have an internal clock that lets them know when to “flip” to flower. 2 pics of my 2 autoflowers. Week 4-5
Thanks! I would think you need to get started quick using seedling nutes.
Actually with the soil i used(fox farm ocean forest) it was about 5 weeks until i had to add nutes.
Autos usually start their flower cycles between 25 and 45 days from sprout. I would not go any bigger than a five gallon pot with autos as I e don’t 7 gallon and about 2 gallons worth of the pot is still root free. Some plants take over the whole pot some don’t. 5 gal is plenty tho. Alot do 3 gallon as u can fit. Ore plants per area being smaller be t to me a smaller pot is a smaller tree atleast that’s how it seems to work here. 5 gallon pots I get 2 and 3 foot trees 7 was like 4 and 6 feet. 10 gallon I had 6 almost 7 feet on a plant but bigger is not always better

If you’ve done regulars I feel like autos will be an easy thing for you (but I’m new I could be wrong)
I have mine in a 3 gallon pot
The first two I grew are moving slowly but I didn’t have them in a tent and no proper lighting. Literally my first grow.
My second two are in a tent with a proper Mars light.
Use
FFOF soils and the three FF nutes.
I’m on my second auto grow. From what I’m seeing this time, 3 gallon pots are going to be my go to. I’m growing in coco with Grow Dots as the main nutes. (I also add microbials, Recharge, Fish Sh!t, plus Sugar Daddy to feed the microbes and MagiCal to make sure that’s covered.) The Grow Dots are kind of timed around an autoflower grow. Super easy. I have a couple running in A Pot For Pot, a soil/coco hybrid mix, but seems as if the straight coco/perlite is winning that race.
Not the best picture what with the lights, but the one on the left is in coco, on the right is P4P. The P4P is a week ahead of the one on the left.
Other than filling humidifiers on the regular, this is a super easy grow.
Left plant is 29 days old, right is 35 days.
