I’m not a auto grower, but from what I’ve seen here on this forum most auto growers prefer not to transplant autos. It can be done, but may interrupt growth and slow down plant before they start flowering. 5-7 gallon pots are sufficient for autos . I’ll tag a auto grower who may be able to help. @Not2SureYet
Ive grown both autos and photos so far. I also say that transplanting may not be in best interests for growth potential. Larger pots (especially in a huge tent like yours lol) would be best. Id say shoot for 5 gals, maybe 7s!
18/6 lighting works just dandy the whole grow, although later into flower sometimes i do switch to 16/8 and 14/10 at the end.
3 - 5 gallon are all that is needed. Anything larger would be a waste of medium and nutrients. An auto can only grow so much in 28 - 35 days of average veg time.
Sometimes you never know what you get with an auto. I quit growing them once I tried photos.
The last auto I grew vegged for 55 - 60 days and was a very nice plant. I was fortunate and never grew a micro auto that I see posted all too often.
For the grow that I have going now I’m going to use a 3 gallon rain science bag in an autopot. The XL autopot is normally a 5 gallon bag.
So my first grow was photo. Grew.ten plants. Lol. Got 28 ounces. Just had one tested. My chemdawg and entered into local competition. 20.1 percent thc. 23 percent thca. And .7 percent cbga ! Npt to bad buthave more than enough weed for now and was goven 4 great auto seeds for free. 4 diff strains so fig bust those out quick and than start next photo run. First grow went great ! C at wait for number 2
Those are some nice buds and numbers. And thanks @Bulldognuts
I have to watch what I say now. Not every one is as carefree with growing as I am
I have never had an issue with transplanting an auto my self. TO start. I am in coco. And it is messy transplanting. So I changed to these nursery bags to start in. And at 10 - 12 days. I drop them in a final pot. One thing I notice for me. The longer the autos stay in a small container. The longer it takes them to take off. If you are in soil. You can normally expect a much smaller plant. So I would say for my self. I normally use a 5 gallon when top feeding. A 3 gallon in an autopot works fine though. With soil. I can see trying a 7 gallon pot. Please Note: I have never grown in any thing other than coco. So I only know what I have seen in here and watching others in soil if that is what you are using. I run a 16/8 on autos or photos my self. The veg stage is the main part you want to focus on. Once in flower. I treat mine the same as photos. A 12/12 I am set to watch. I am not on a lot. I need new glasses
So my brain fades pretty fast. I will try to keep up here though
