Auto Not Flowering Help

Hey all- I got 3 tangerine autos from Mendocino Farms going about 6 weeks old. 2 of the 3 are barely showing any sign of flowering. They’re both big beautiful plants but I’m worried because I feel like they should be flowering by now. The other one is flowering great. My thought was to switch the lights to 12/12 and see if that helps. Would that have any negative effect on my already flowering plant? I can put some pictures up when I get home from work. @Graysin @SilvaBack203 @Newt @Cap_Ron

Autos generally flower at some point between 4 and 7 weeks, but we have seen them take as long as 12 weeks to flower.

You may be able to trigger them with a 12/12 light cycle.

The only effect that switching to 12/12 will have on the autos that are already flowering is they’ll receive less light. An option to negate that effect would be to slightly increase the intensity of the light over a week or so to match the same DLI they’re getting now.
If I have my autos on an 18/6 schedule I typically keep the PPFD around 600 to 650. If I have them on a 12/12 for some reason I’ll bring the PPFD up to around 850 to 900. Just don’t make a big increase in intensity too quickly. If you go that route, raise it a bit every few days after you switch to 12/12.

My last auto didn’t start flower til almost week 9. No sign of trichomes til week 14 and didn’t finish til 19 + weeks. Again, autos will do what they do.

Here she was at week 16. Sometimes they just take a while.

These are 2 white widow auto’s both sprouted the same time the one in the front took about a month and a half and the one in the back took two and a half months to flower. auto’s do their own thing i wouldn’t change the lighting to force her to flower she will flower when she is ready. i was gonna change my lighting to but waited it out and she did fine grow about 6feet.

I’m at 6.5 weeks. Guess I didn’t stunt them to much during transplant :joy:. Thanks for the advice I’ll keep letting them do there thing for a little while long before I try changing the cycle @Graysin @Autofreak @Cap_Ron @Tom6377 @MidwestGuy @Newt

Bright side, longer veg should equal bigger yield in my book. Good luck

This is very strange, I’ve never had an auto take longer than 25 days to start preflower, 30 at the maximum, dunno if it’s a breeder thing or I’m just really lucky with them

Never had one go over 90 days sees to harvest, I grow FastBuds autos though I suppose they’re called FastBuds for that reason

I’ve heard the phrase 84 out the door before and if that’s the case I’m screwed haha. This is only my second auto grow. Next up is cherry cola from fast buds. Got to get through this one first though

I never grew an auto and wasn’t even planning on it until one of the packs of photo seeds i purchased turned out to be auto’s. So my first auto, the one i have that’s in flower didn’t actually show signs of flower till about 40 or 45 days from breaking ground. But that could have been due to the high stress I caused her. I would have never intended on mainlining and Auto. But it happened. I’m pretty sure that my yield is going to suffer greatly from it. But since I have got two more in the paper towel waiting to sprout. I should probably educate myself I’m growing autos or I’m just going to let her grow naturally. You got any advice from me on my second run with these things

Flipped the lights yesterday. Going to let it run 12/12 for a weeks and see if that helps get them going. Sucks but idk what else to do.

Idk anymore. I’m thinking these two will never fully flower and I’m getting impatient. I was trying to build stock with some autos so I could grow some photos I’ve been sitting on. We’re on day 52 and nothing but some little hairs have popped out. Thinking in 2 weeks if I don’t see anything I’m just going to pitch em.

That last photo is already there.

Patience, though. My Wedding Cake took about 15 days from when she first threw a pistil to actually begin to flower for me. If you just popped em on 12/12, they may take a little bit yet to get rolling.
