I have 2 auto flower plants. One is 49 days old and the other is 42. They are northern light x big bud. Neither one has started showing signs of flowering yet. Should I switch to 12/12 lighting ? Maybe I got regular seeds by mistake.
Sounds like a good idea, whether a stubborn auto or a photo, change will help
Welcome @Snagwood ! Some autos can be stubborn and need to be kicked into gear. Dropping light hours should help
From what? Summer vacation ends when the days get shorter. and motivates some to move on with life. Summer of '69, I had, once. I am in process of an unusual flip. Today i flipped from 10/2 twice a day to 18/6 once. then in three weeks, I will start dropping 15 minutes a day. Should result strange for current flowers, re-vegers, and seedlig in grow, currently.
Welcome, beginer here, learning growing, too.
It seems highly unlikely that TWO autos would BOTH fail to flower in the same grow. Not impossible but very rare indeed.
Can you check the packaging and make sure you didn’t get feminized(photoperiods) by mistake?
12/12 as suggested good idea regardless.
Good luck.
Let us know how they turn out.
I had them on 18/6 light. Hydroponic dws with 600w led lights. I dont have that seed package anymore, but it said they were auto flower. I have grown this variety before with great success. 16 oz a plant.
Welcome to the neighborhood . Happy Growing
is this from breaking ground? I estimate 28-36 days after a 14 day seedling period for auto flowering. Key word is estimating. Agree with all mentioned on some autos being stubborn and the 12/12 should help push flowering
The gorilla glue I currently have going took 35 days to start, so I think 12/12 is your solution.
nice I cant figure out how to get autos to yield that well. I usually get between 5-6 ounces. very well done
What are you growing them in ? Dirt or water ? They grow a lot bigger in water. I have done it both ways. Plus I have only got that much once with those seeds. I generally get around 10 to 12 oz
That is from the time I put them in the water. I started them in rockwool. They had sprouted for about 3 days before I put them in my dws.
I had one recently take 45 from the day it popped up above ground. Usually the same strain autos in 22-30 days, so it was a late, late bloomer. Yours may be, too.
that’s a great average for autos
I grow in soil. I also am pretty low tech grow wise. Im just amazed by how well some can get autoflowers to produce.
Thank you Im happy with it. It just amazes me how some can push them to a really impressive yield.
A little over 9 zips has been my best. 6 average. @CooterJuice has hit 2 seperate 1lb runs
