Anyone using "grove bags" to cure?

Did you keep any trim? I usually freeze my trim in case I over-dry, I can bring the humidity up with material from the plant. But I also keep some Bovedas on hand, just in case.

Yea, I kept the trim, but … it’s just as dry as the rest.

Same-day delivery of Bovedas ordered…

Gotcha. Boveda are good to have in case you need them. But at 10% on a moisture meter, I don’t suspect you will.

@Nicky @Newt

Warning!

I just checked some of my unused boveda packs… A few have this gel like liquid seeping out… Glad it didn’t happen with the buds…

I will never use them again now that this had happened… They weren’t crushed… Still in sealed bag… Just sitting.

Thanks. So far, I haven’t needed to use them (I did have them in for a bit, but realized I didn’t need them)

I think it was @MeEasy that advised using the stems from trimming to help bring the moisture back up, I’m in the middle of my trim sentence now and that seems to have worked very well for me.

After several hours, hygrometer reads 50%. Boveda packs have arrived, so I guess I’m going to add a small one to the 1oz bag, and a larger one to the bin holding the un-trimmed material…

That’s what I’d do.

I’d ā€œpersonallyā€ recommend another source of moisture to help rehydrate. Fresh fan leaf if available, stem, orange peel, or even a piece of lettuce (preferably from the heart). Boveda are great for maintenance but aren’t really recommended during the cure. Just my 2 cents…

Interesting. I don’t have a fresh fan. I do have brussel sprouts?

Can’t speak to them, they are not allowed in the household.

That’s why I use boost packs, also they are more cost efficient.
Of course only once cure is over.

My thoughts exactly. I overdried my Gorilla Glue harvest and added moisture back using a small orange peel. Worked awesome but keep an eye on the hygrometer as a large piece of peel can quickly bring RH up.
Your two cents were awesome brother.

That should work. I prefer orange, lime, or even apple peel.

All I was saying is the bags do not help your humidity level. You could just use a zip lock bag. That’s how dissatisfied I am. I’ve tried 3 batches of dry herb in these bags and none went without burping or adding for moisture and that is there claim to fame.

Weird, I’ve had 2 perfect cures in them.
