Recommendations on individual rh meters for grove bags ? And bud testers as well ?

This is the meter I use…use the wood setting. Any rh sensor can go in the Grove Bags. They have never let me down so I do not put the sensors in the bags anymore. If I was, I would put one of the Govee meters that I can check on my phone. My two cents.

I am unfamiliar with that brand…they look just like the grove bags…but can’t speak to the technology.

@Scott62 These on Amazon right?..They are NOT Grove bags,They say they do the same thing but read the reviews? Go to the Grove bag website and buy from them if you want genuine Grove Bags…Their shipping is a rip-off but the bags aren’t that expensive …its all relative I guess.? IF you’ve already purchased them then I guess try them out and see how it goes…unless you can send them back…Ive never used that brand so I really dont know… hope that helps!

I thought it was kinda hinky that they copied the design of the Grove Bags.

To copy someone is the highest form of flattery. From what I have read this technology isn’t new but rather it’s been used in the Agricultural industry for years. Very successfully I might add

Oh no doubt you’re right on that…But I wonder IF they are just a copy with all of the same attributes and technology of true Groves or just a plastic bag with Grove Bag colors and design ?

There inlies the rub. It is a special permeable plastic with unique capabilities as I understand the tech. It a matter if the (new supplier) has the same or similar tech. Are they making the same claimed as Grove Bags??? The tech isn’t new, just new to be applied to pot curing.

Exactly. I’m doing my soon to be cure in grove bags and made sure I bought the real deal. Not knocking the competition, but based on what I have learned (mostly here), I’ll try the original first. @StickyFrostyBuds moved to steel containers and I contemplate that as an option, but the economics between the two options led me to grove bags

Grove bags work well for giving away weed, too.

Funny you mentioned that…I screwed up last year and ordered some 1 oz. 1/2 oz.& 1/4 oz. bags while not really thinking…at first Grove was going to exchange as I said I didn’t want a refund but exchange and Id pay the difference for bigger bags…But then they reneged…Kinda pissed me off but it was my fault so…?..These stupid little bags only did me good in what you said…Giving the weed to friends and family who smoke in a “special bag”…beats the ol` see through sandwich baggies…

Yeah I hope so …The bags it seems have been working out so far…Ive only heat sealed a few…
Funny thing is I now have a bunch of large Mason jars I first bought for my first grow about 5 years ago…The weed I had in them went bad…so Im throwing it out and probably will use a few along with the groves…

Well, bought some grove bags based on comments in this thread. They are definitely handy and do what they say, but they still have the problem with the seals coming loose from the bags. I even open them with a lot of care based on what I’ve read in this thread and they still come loose. Bought a dozen quarter pound bags for my little harvest and two of them have failed this way. Sure makes it hard to create a sealed environment and get a proper cure when the seal strip comes loose. Guess I figured that after a few years they would have worked that out.

Tape them shut buddy. Thats what i do and what Grove Bag recommended to me for a good seal anyhow. They said to melt or tape the top closed during the curing phase so that they work properly. They aren’t ruined. Just get some masking tape or painters tape and seal them shut. Even when the plastic zip isn’t broken i do this for a better cure.

Hey ya’ll! Thought I’d ask here instead of creating another thread.

I’m getting ready to chop this weekend and have acquired 1oz grove bags for the cure.

1st question: I don’t have a device to check the moisture within the bud itself, so how do I know during the drying process when the nugs are at the recommended 55-60% moisture level?

2nd: I have 100 cc oxygen absorbers. Should I throw one or more in the grove bag during cure?

3rd: No way I can achieve the recommended 60 degrees for cure. Best I can do is 69-71 degrees. Will this be an issue and would appreciate any insight on how to best go forward with this limiting factor?

@MartyMarajuanaseed @Audiofreak @OGIncognito

Thanks in advance.

Amazon can ship you a moisture meter within 2/3 days easy. They aren’t particularly expensive but they answer VALUABLE questions when needed. Worth the 20/30 bucks or less if for no other reason than stress relief.

Thanks, I will do that. Just looked and there are inexpensive (I expected higher). What do you think about the oxygen absorbers?

Are they necessary or helpful in cure?
