I have some in Masons from a few years ago But switched to Groves because the masons were more expensive and bulky…and Grove results from other growers got me there!..I’m happy so far with groves…I just put a fan leaf from one of my plants and that re hydrates them .

A couple Quick questions for you and the potato trick.

A. At what number range do you start thinking you need to put a potato in there?

B. How big of a potato chunk are you putting in a 1/4 lb bag? Or whatever size bag you use.

C. How long are you leaving said potato in the bag?

I dont pay that much attention. Hmmmm if it grts into the low to mid 50Rh i might slice off a piece the size of a small river flat stone (A QUARTER) I take it out when the Rh improves or when all shriveled up and replace if necessary.

Is it safe to put weed into grove bags if RH is 63? I always used mason jars , I hung my weed it’s been hanging for 7 days now ,I’m keeping room as close to 60/60 as possible. Trimmed a branch yesterday and it’s sticky and I put it in a jar with a H meter for a few hours and it was reading 63 RH. I don’t have a wood moisture meter and really don’t want to spend the cash for one. Buds are not dense so I don’t believe I would get a honest reading anyway.
Question would it be ok to put in grove bags at this time ? The small sugar leave on the bud are still wet and gum up the Scissors

I would bagthem…Grove bags will let moisture out…I think you are close enough

Thanks I will keep a h meter with them and if I see it climbing I will do that double brown bag trick

Brown bag sweating for a couple of days with RH meter will confirm 63%RH good and bag available.

Should be good in bag, but bag may be slow if not really at 63%
Bag slower than burped jar for RH changing.

I have them in a brown lunch bag and another brown bag over the top of them and back in the room that I’m trying to keep 60/60 in. So you agree ?
I think I would feel more comfortable if the rh was 55- 60

First time grower and getting ready to harvest. Was curious what unit you are using to test your buds to determine moisture level ? Thanks in advance!!

fingers feel the buds.
Can’t do finger temp on a steak, but buds ā€œnot coolā€ (lacking heat).
Small buds under 6 inches easier to manage and bag stuff.
Snap sound test also.

I can live with 63+/- 5 (burp down or add fresh to hit target).

Lol I wish my buds were 6 inches. Popcorn buds Yesterday they still seemed wet but today dry. There all banged up now.

Thank ya. Planning on using the grove bags. Not sure I’m following the ā€œheatā€statement lol

Buds are "cool’ to the touch, when still wet (above 70%RH).
below 70%RH, they are not ā€œwetā€ or cool, to the touch.
RH sensors for measuring, also used.

Plenty of room for RH meters.

Jars are too expensive, and Bags are better for giving away.

That’s my plan also.
And times are tight I might save my grove bags and the giveaway will go in old school baggies

Won’t be to much giveaways either lol. Only 6 1/4 oz 3 plants veged maybe a month. Had a hard time in flower
