This is one of my White Widows at day 51. What’s happening at the top? It almost looks like it’s producing seeds.
Those are male balls. Your females will produce seeds if they are pollinated by the male. I’d bag it and carefully remove it from the grow area. Try not to disturb it as best you can so you don’t distribute male pollen in your grow area.
That’s a boy
Male all the way.
WHAT?!
Should I get it out of the tent asap?
Should I grow it for the seeds?
That sucks.
Males don’t produce seeds. Females pollinated by a male plant do. It will ruin your females.
Yup
@MidwestGuy and @Borderryan22 — Thank you both! The offending plant has left the building. Darn.
Another day of growing cannabis, another lesson learned.
I hope we caught it in time to protect your other plants.
As do I. How long will it be before I know? I have one more WW in the tent along with two Gold Leafs that are in the third week of flowering.
Is this something that can/does occur with seeds that are listed as feminized? Meaning, even if I am growing feminized seeds, is this something to look out for?
It can happen with any female cannabis plant. Feminization has little to do with it.
Good to know.
You don’t just grow him or one, the whole garden will be having seed weed.
I choose seeds making, for seed banking. Summer 2022
Sucks mining seeds from weed.
Great to have a supply of seeds, vice $$$$.
Time is $$$. tough choice
Afterwards, the whole tent needs washing and cleaning.
@DEEPDIVERDAVE — I got the hermie out immediately after identification a shave had no further issues.
