No feedback, so I started flush! Will peek in on the trichomes every couple days maybe flush one more time.

Happy Thanksgiving. I typically don’t flush either. I have a friend that swears by it. So I figured I’d give it a shot. I was asking about the amber. He said if I waited for that it would be too late. I am not just stright flushing, I am using flawless finish which will still offer nutrients. They recommend to start flushing at least 10 days out. I figured I’m at 10% clear at least 85% cloudy so in 10 to 14 days I should be where I want them… Normally I shoot for 40% amber, but I want to wash one plant, so If I end up at 10% amber I should like the results. Also there’s a rumor that flawless finish may help to amber some things up. If for some reason by the next watering here in a couple days I feel they need more time I can throw some nutrs in there. But hopefully not! Thanks for the feedback, I hope this does make the smoke better. Not saying it wasn’t awesome to begin with.

For what its worth,

There are two distinct camps, so doing your own test seems wise.
However unless you have cloned identical plants to test, you simply may be experiencing the particular plants qualities and not the flushing qualities.

This particular graph shows what many here on the forum have said for years…
You cant wash out nutrients. Someone likened it to taking a shower and expecting to remove toxins from your blood. It just doesnt work like that.

The amount of minerals/elements are no different after a flush than before.

See that’s how I feel. But the way he explained it is your not washing out nutes, you are washing out the salt build-up. This is supposed to allow the benefits of pulling up the nutes. He did say he doesn’t use plain phed water and told me to get the flawless finish as it will still supply a litte while cleaning the roots. I do also agree about the genetics. I’m not a strain hunter but I have grown several of the same supposed genetics and each tasted and smoked a little different. But I fell that week 8 pretty much what harm can it do right. Today I have noticed substantially more fading on the fan leaves. I will push myself not to check trichomes until Saturday during their nex watering. If I feel they are not changing much I may throw some nutes in there. But they say to do FF 7 to 10 days out and I believe by next week I will be where I want to be.

I give plain water the last week or two just because there is no point feeding a plant that is nearly done. I try not to be dogmatic about this topic either way. If you’re happy with the results either way then stick with it.

I agree. Like I said first time doing it. I guess I’m satisfying a friends curiosity! Personally I don’t see the point as my soil is organic! But the directions say use in organic soil too! Happy Thanksgiving my brother, appreciate the feed back!

Much to my point, I just tested my soil since O flushed yesterday and no change. It’s organic soil so it won’t lose potency. Most it did was wash the salt buildup off the roots

If you flush organics you rinse out all the love. Should be reusing that soil as it gets better. Typically no salt buildup…a salt loss is more likely. I have to add magnesium tomy reused soil. Just what happens for me in living soil.

Yeah typically I don’t, just wanted to get some feedback as I keep hearing different things. tested the soil and nutrient range is still over 800. Only changes is the fan leaves started fading out to some pretty colors.

I never get the “sugar” on the buds like I see here. Is there something I can add to the 321? I’m growing Hydro so I can control anything the plant get in the way of Nutes.

I have never grow hydro way. Only organic. I have sugar on some of my bigger fan leaves too.

So since I flushed my plants have put on some weight and started drinking more. I’m wondering if that allowed them some relief. I haven’t fed tgem anything just phed water in organic soil. Seeing about 10% light tip amber trichomes about 5% solid. So I say about 5-6 more days.
