Airy Buds White widow

This is my third grow white widow… Each grow has gotten better as I learn and trust my instincts. My issue is the last harvest best ever tons of buds but they are airy which is fine. It’s good bud…I feel like I’m missing that last piece to have a great harvest with dense buds. Any suggestions? I changed lighting last harvest 1000 watt LEDs. Thanks

Hello could you resend the pictures but don’t press reply until all the pics have opened to the right of the box. If you don’t see your pics we can’t either. They have to load 100%. Looking forward to seeing your awesome pictures

I see on one of your previous threads you grew Autos.
Genetics from ruderalis to make autoflowers more often than not produce less dense buds.
You may do better with Photo Period plants.
As you stated its not critical. Its just another thing like color or smell. You can have dense or airy buds and its a lot to do with genetics.

I tried to edit the picture because a couple I didn’t want posted. But it wouldn’t let me. :worried:

I’ve heard to use molasses to assist in getting dense buds. But some strains like sativa are aire buds. However they are just as good to smoke. As a matter of fact I grew some super silver haze my first grow and after 4 grows it’s still my favorite smoke.

Those are some nice flowers.

The bud is my favorite so I don’t mind the airy Buds but then I see pictures of huge dense buds and I wonder what I’m doing wrong. I just got Bruce Banner to try. Excited to try a new strain. I use the fertilizer pack from ilgm… But I’m a little hesitant as to when the bloom should be given.

Pictures can be misleading for sure. This was my first grow buds were airy. Bud porn can sure make us wish we could do that when in reality I believe we already are.

More lighting would help, cannabis loves light somewhere around 30-50 watts per square foot is what most growers aim for.

A good light with Samsung lm301 diodes gets the job done.

Usually start bloom nutes about a week after u flip to flower. If autos wait like a week after u see first signs of pistils to start bloom nutes. Most likely airy buds r just fine to bring autos. Autos are like 50% the firmness I ever get off photos. I’ve never had a solid hard bud from an auto like a photo type gives off. And if it happy with the outcome of that plant wait til u try a photo type plant. 100% better everything.

Nope, molasses is good for microbes and to a small extent fuels terpene production. It also contains many trace minerals and even cal, mag, p and k.

What light? Not all led are the same and not all lights listed as 1000w actually are. Light is gonna be your #1 factor in thicker denser buds.

Facts!

Also FACTS!

Is this what it “looks” like on a PC  I’ve only ever used my phone and doesn’t look this way on my android. Just shows a % and once at 100% its done.

Those are some good looking plants :+1:
From what I see I would have to agree with @Docnraq and the others. Genetics sometimes “over rides” anything we do and ya get what ya get as far as bud structure.

But I’ve been growing alot of clones lately and I’ve got 4 different lights of different sizes.

I get my most dense buds from my Growers Choice Roi-e720 (720 true watts) in a 4x6 tent and my Spiderfarmer se3000 (300 true watts) in a 3x3.

My Marshydro sp3000 (300 true watts) in a 3x5 space grows great bud, but it’s always more fluffy then whats under the other 2 lights.
Even though it is the same wattage as my 3x3 tent, it’s a different spectrum and the space is bigger so light intensity is lower because light spreads more if that makes any sense.
My 4th light is a Spiderfarmer sf2000 (200 true watts) in a 1.5x3 tent, and it will flower plants but they are always lanky and fluffy.
All them grow good weed, it’s just became very clear since I’ve started running alot of clones, that the more intensity makes an obvious difference.

Just remember, sometimes Genetics just trumps everything  but more light is what i would suggest fir best chances of hard nugs :+1:

@MMWhite what brand of light are you using? Looks as if you may need to invest in proper lighting as mentioned above.

I’ve grown it 10 times and that was by far the best one. They’re not consistent at all.

You’re plants look healthy and well taken care of, just need more light.

What light or lights do you have exactly
I see you said 1000w leds, but im wondering if that’s actually 1000 watts of power draw or 1000 watts of led diodes powdered by about 100w of actual power

This is a very common mistake, advertising makes it seem like you’re buying something you not.
A true 1000w led light will cost about $1,000.
Grow lights are typically about $1 per watt of power draw and true 1000w led fixtures are massive lights.

Here’s my light that is only 720 watts, see how large it is, thats a 4x6 tent its in.
