On autos can I change to 14/10 lighting after they started to flower. I have some other plants. Not cannabis. I would like to put in to my tent for awhile. But don’t want to shock my autos by increasing the light schedule.
I am still new on my 2nd grow. Best of my knowledge that shouldn’t be a problem. I am running my ww auto 24/7 and the buds are huge and thick. Auto’s do not need any dark period so that schedule wont effect anything… I know some people will tell me that the auto’s need some dark time to rest but you should be fine 14/10

That’s what I figured but I didn’t want to have my girls start self identifying as males. I seed here and there would be ok but these autos took so long to flower I don’t want to loose them now. Once I harvest the other side of the rent I want to use it to raise other plants and maybe make some legal money come spring.

I dont think going from 12/12 to 14/10 will be that much of a shock if any. Nice plants, how about some pics of your girls?
It’s my understanding the anything over 12 12 light schedule doesn’t give the plant any benefit. All plants need some rest period. I run my auto on a 16 8 schedule while my photos veg. I think 24 7 light schedule is over kill and not energy efficient. Autos are a in between crop for me. Lets me harvest something during the long wait for photo plants.

thank you. i have 5 (five) 300w cfl lights over 6 white widow autos. actually 300 watt for grow and 3-300 watt and 2-250 watt for flower running 24/7. I have 1 gigantic bud 5" wide by 8-1/2 long!

Just got a new light setup and I’m impressed so far. I’m just starting flowering on 4 trainwrecks.
I started with 4 of the big CFLs, but I couldn’t keep the heat under control without running 500 watts of air conditioning. I gradually moved to these lights over 2 years @jt123

nice!!! my tent is 4 x 8. i have a portable air conditioner in there trying to keep temperature at 75 but sometimes hits 82. … my other tent is 4 x 8 as well. i have 2 gorilla glue fem in there now. using 2- 1000 watt hps and mh lights 1 over each girl. i have another portable air conditioner in there as well. a bit tougher on the temp. i just flipped to 12/12 to flower on Thursday. My electric bill is so high before that using this much electric only increases my bill by 15%.
