Afghan seed trouble

I am a seasoned grower that has been using ILGM seed for many years without any troubles until now…
I have germinated Afghan and Bubba Kush seeds this spring. All have germinated well, long tails ( these are autos ) and planted the germinated seeds in the same soil I have been using for years . The BBK sprouted fine but the Afghan , 3 times now, has failed to produce seedlings. is anyone else experiencing this trouble this year? I am at a lose as to why this is happening. Any suggestions? Need to figure this out this week or it will be to late to plant for this season.

I’ve seen a couple others post about having germ troubles this spring, but haven’t had any problems myself with ILGM or my own beans. The sprout to seedling stage seems to give the most trouble for most, I’ve found my way that works for me, I sprout in towels after a 24 hour soak, meanwhile, I completely soak my solos of Promix with 400 ppm of MC1 and let drain. Then drop sprouts ina hole 3/8 inch under surface when buried. I put them in a dome under a 100 watt shop light and don’t take it of for a week to 2 with no more water. Damping off from being too wet is by far the most common mistake starting plants. I have roots out the bottom in a week like this, then they get watered til runoff, and then let them dry back til very light before feeding again.:oncoming_fist::flexed_biceps:

Thanks but they did germinate and planted them as always have for umpteen years. They looked healthy it was after placing in the soil, never broke the surface but the other seeds I planted at same time and and using same process did. Still at a lose at what might be happening.

Sometimes it happens despite our best efforts. If you feel it was the seeds, reach out to ILGM , I’ve had one order that didn’t ever break ground after sprouting, they replaced them with no hassle and the replacements were :100: good. Customer service is a strong point with them.:oncoming_fist:

Again thanks, I don’t think it’s ILGM’s fault, just wondering if anyone else was having trouble with this issue.

I had the same problem at the beginning of the spring. 2 Afghan were all I got to sprout. I was putting them outside too quick and hardening off. Keep them in closet until 4 nodes then out in the shade for a week. Then full sun. Like @Growdoc stated there a lot having germination trouble this year.
