I’ve loved growing Afghan…I bought them cuz they’re supposed to be easy to grow, and that was 100% the case for me. Definitely a gorgeous, generous, and beginner-friendly strain based on my experience!
have you tried it? i picked this for the high % of indica
Nah, still has to finish drying and curing before I can test it out. Wedryer XL and Grove bags came today, though…hopefully those will help make sure she finishes well and smokes beautiful!
Final harvest…chopped, wash, and hung! Gonna leave her to drip dry for 24 hrs then move to the Wedryer XL.
looks good. wonder how much you will get.
Here’s some bud pics (with flash and without) from my first harvest last week. Moisture meter on wood setting read about 10% so I got that batch bagged in Grove bags to cure. The batch I harvested yesterday will go into the Wedryer XL today.
My question is, does this bud look okay? Not sure what the signs of mold, etc. during drying are, so a more expert opinion would be great!
@Docnraq @HeyJB @beardless or anyone else?
Looks okay to me. When there is rot, the “brown” parts look unappealing. I realize thats not the greatest metric to use but it served me so far. When its rotten, you just know it. It will crumble apart or be coverd in whispy white mycelium, or so bad that you wont even have to ask.
Autoflower flowers are generally more loose looking then dispensary nugs, so dont be shocked if buds seem light.
Tons of trichomes, excellent work
Are you looking at the darker spot in the top photo. It is hard to tell but looks OK. Pry it open a little an see if it looks healthy. That the interior is solid and connected.
Works for me! Lol
Thank you so much…coming from you that means a lot!!! Super appreciate your and many other people’s help during my first grow. Let’s hope she smokes as good as she looks
Thank you so much for your kind words
I’ll do that…texture feels good on the squeeze test but I’ll def break one open as well, just to be safe
Usually you will also see some cobwebs but the photo looked clean
Yeah, no cobwebs or anything like that (just tons of stickiness, lol)
Great. Good to go
No rot that I can see. Like @Docnraq said, the brown from the rot will be kinda spongey and unappealing. I only had 1 bud outa 2lbs that had any rot and it was small but I knew there was a problem and a difference at first sight.
