The new fan comes with a new UIS connecter. The fan side is larger and has a gasket on it the other side is the same as the old style.

I replaced the oscillating motor (separate from the fan motor) in mine (I believe it’s the gen-1… ) Unfortunately the plugs are a different size, so splicing tiny wires together to fit in a cramped housing is a bit of a pain, but at $10 for a 5 pack, it seemed a no-brainer.
I did sign up for a replacement anyway though, thanks for the tip!

my fans came in yesterday…here is what they look like and you must use the new controller cable since the connection at the fan is now recessed…to get the oscillation at different rotations you must hit the rotation switch and it toggles thru the rotation ranges…I wish this could have been controlled by the controller…oh well they did well in my book replacing the old fans for free…
