thanks for all the info @1LuckyMF … I can see the dropouts in the graphs on both controllers…the only thing I haven’t tried is just running the fan without controller connections to see if the fan is the issue…but I doubt I have 2 fans on 2 different controllers doing the same thing but you never know…process of elimination is all I can do right now
Me sit’n here with a 69 pro get’n ready for it’s first grow.
You ain’t give’n me the warm and fuzzies…
it is not a game stopper…it is a micro second that the fan stops…you will be just fine growmie
well growmies I think I fixed my fan issue…the light issue was fixed with the first firmware update in December…and now the 2 fans I had issues with …well you know the UIS cable is a bi-directional meaning you can connect it in 2 positions …well yesterday I decided to flip the connector over and plug back in… and since then no dropouts in either tent…so now you have the rest of the story and all is good at ROG grow room

Great to here Brother…some good troubleshooting ROG
So taking the end plugged into the controller and switching it with the end which was in the fan?
no…unplug at the fan and flip over and plug back in at the fan…I turned off the oscillation in the small tent and noticed I still got the drop outs and that told me it was not cable stress/movement…and had always plugged these fans in with the cable pointing out towards me, just easier to plug in and so I decided to flip the connector/connection at the fan and there was the fix
Never would have guessed that would resolve the issue ROG
Right
yea must be something about that connector on the fan that makes better contact in one direction over the other…I had swapped cables before but always plugged in the same way on the fans…
I wonder if 50% of this controllers users are having this problem and not know?
Looks like a 50% shot to get it right
I don’t know what type of connection that is so can’t comment on them
My old 2 channel inkbird just keeps going and going
same with me…this technology came out after I left the electronics field/retired and I have not tried to learn how it works…I really liked the fact the connector could be plugged in easily and you didn’t have to match the connectors to get a connection…but I guess it has its drawbacks or maybe I just got a couple fans that the connectors are on the looser side of their manufacturing specifications…
Damn Friday builds
yep…always buy if made on a Wednesday…other days are questionable…ahahahahahahaha
Do you plan on getting there new controller the one shipping next month and you must pre order ?
I have 1 and use other cheap temp/RH monitors in my other tents
Regular 69, I prefer to hand tune my environmental gear
I was thinking of getting one but my grow will be done before it’s shipped and I don’t think I will do another. I think they are pretty cool. I have the older one also. Just got it. Another neat toy
Plus they are on sale now and if your military and show Proof you get another 10%
