On the T6 model, I have 2 of the S6 model, in the description for temp control it says it will turn on to heat up area. For those who have the T6 model I need to set it up for winter to pull cool air from outside to cool off tent. Can this be done also. I would need to set the high temp point and have it come on to cool the tent and then shut off at cooler temp.
So far as I know, because I bought one, that feature is not available on this controller. Go do that you will need to operate it in the ON mode and use a co stroller su h as the Inkbird to turn the unit on and off.
There’s two different ones I have the one without the temp/humidty control and there us one with just speed control. The problem I see is if the air is cool out ot wont pull that much fresh air in but keep going off. Dont know never used two together.
Dank, I’m not sure if I follow what you are saying ? I have the version with the temp/ RH controller. The issues I had was_ I could not set a trigger for on and a separate one for off. You can do that with the Inkbird controller. The Inkbird has work 1 and work 2, the AC has only 1 work if that makes sense?
You just set the temp you want the tent to be at. Say you wanted it to be 77*, if the temp goes higher, the fan will turn on. It will then turn off when it reaches 77*
Edit: missed this part, “He just has the stock controller.“
Yep you could just use the non rh/temp with the Inkbird. I’m going to install a second inline fan so I can tune both Temp and RH as well as replacement air.
Yeah Bobby that’s great if you want it turning on and off all the time over and over. It should have a spread line the Inkbird. Set it to turn on at 80 and turn off at 70 or 72. That way you can sync it with how much RH you need to vent. For instance, if my rh stays a bit too high after venting to 75 from 80, I can widen the spread to 72 and give it a bit more venting. You can’t do that with the controller from AC.
I have 2 of the reg fans. I will buy the temp control version if it will work for me. In the winter it is cold outside. My tent in the house is warm. I want to be able to set the fan to come on and suck in the cold air from outside if the tent reaches 70° inside and run until I hit about 65° in the tent and then shut off.
No I get that. Just saying it can be done. I run the advanced controller but also inkbird controllers. I use the ac for intake only and the humidity and temp inkbird handles the humidifier and exhaust.
They updated controller shortly after releasing original fans. I’m pretty sure the original controller would do what you’re asking, but not the one sold with fans over last year or two. Someone on here was working with them on getting original controller, but I don’t remember who or whether they were successful. Sorry!
I emailed them to see about getting the controller seperate they said 60 bucks. Not sure if it’s the new or old tho. I heard the older controller was way better them the current one also.
I just remembered I have a thermostate controller for my freezer I use when making lagars to keep the freezer at around 40°. It should work with the fan and keep the room cool during winter months. I want controlled cooler temps in the tent for the colors and terpenes on the Blueberry and GDP plants this winter grow.
