After having a run of dodgy ph and high ec levels I’ve decided to start from fresh. Dropped 6 blue cheese beans on the 4th October into my rapid rooter. No 24hr soak or hydrogen peroxide, straight to soil with a bit of heat on the underside. As of today 7th October I have 3 strong seedlings standing tall at around 1 inch . Time will tell how the others get on. Next puzzle will be how to get them out . I promised myself no more clones but failed and took 7 purple bud as well. All are doing great right now so game on. I tried the perpetual grow thing and ended up with a full tent and low yields so it’s back to just a few plants and try again, slowly this time.
Set to follow.
Welcome aboard @MrPeat I will be in need of your expertise if my previous grow is anything to go by
@Budz420 this is my attempt at a reset. Just need to take things slowly this time. I’m clearing everything out after I harvest. New pots, soil and compost. Everything is getting scrubbed, tent pots the lot
Awesome! Thanks for the tag mate. Following!
What is this ‘no cloning you speak of’???
6 Blue Cheese??? You are gonna need a oxygen mask in that tent!
@Davyg I’ll tag along.
Welcome mate, I seem to be in a disaster phase right now so I need all the help and good vibes I can get
This no cloning thing is like trying to come off crack. I just can’t help myself. I have done it again. My last grow was a disaster because my tent was too full with 8 in there. What have I done, dropped 6 beans and cloned 7 purple bud. That will be 13 plants in a tent that’s overcrowded with 8
Forgot to mention the 6 that are in my veg tent and the 5 in my seedling tent
So I have 22 plants in total, all at various stages spread across 3 tents and a propagator. Not bad for someone who is cutting back and trying to reset things
If you have to take your shoes n socks off to count the plants - that is too many damn plants!
Sounds like you are going to be living in your tent and growing in your house!
I’m pretty much doing that already . I spend a lot of time up there. I crave solitude and sometimes just sit up there. Just me and the wherethefuckarewe tribe
Cloning truly is an addiction
I still haven’t tossed the 3 extra monster clones - they are still sitting there. Might just put them in cup for the giggles…
What is this addiction thing you speak of???
no idea . Keep the monsters, you will love em. Sitting here having a proper laugh mate. Need to go as duty calls. Take care mate it’s been a blast
Wee update, went in last night and had to transplant one of my babies. 5 days after the seed hit the soil and she’s 2 inches tall. Her partner is around half an iinch shorter and due a transplant as soon as I can figure out how to release her from her rapid rooter pot. Bonkers, never seen growth like it
Wee picture of my purple bud clones. They look yellow on the top but it’s just the flash😍
My bionic seedlings. These were planted straight to soil in a rapid rooter. So far I have 4 out of 6 that have germinated
Wee update, that’s the last 2 seeds surfaced. Using the rapid rooters I have 100% success rate and all going strong
Been in last night (24th Oct) and I’m down to 5 clones. Two started to look off colour over the past few days so I pulled them. There was no root formation at all on either . My 6 seedlings are looking good. Two are looking really strong and have another set of leaves forming. One is super leggy and spends most of her time horizontal so she was transplanted. Buried up to her first set of leaves and given a drink to calm her nerves . I need to name her
@Bulldognuts @HammrTime this is my current journal. I had to go looking for it, just need to bookmark it now so I don’t lose it again
Just had a thought. I’m going to take Li low Lily the super leggy seedling that’s wants to grow horizontally and train her around the outside of her new home. If I get it right then she will grow in a horizontal circle. That should be interesting
Wee update on day 23 from planting or day 20 from breaking ground. This was the first to stick her nose out on the 7th October. 3 weeks old tomorrow and looking fine. I have two at that stage as they were the first to appear . Other four are leggy but getting there
@patchman here’s one of my blue cheese 21 days old today. Planted on the 4th and broke ground on the 7th October
29th October and that’s my blue cheese moved into my veg tent. Standing tall at 6 inches and looking good. Note to self, charge your freakin phone so you can take pictures
Looks like all my clones are dead. Transplant shock probably. Roots had formed but hadn’t filled the rapid rooter plug when I transplanted them so I suspect I’ve been a little too rough lifting them out
