4X4 Grow Tent, How many plants?

I currently have a 4X4FT grow tent and was wondering what’s everybody’s opinion or experience for how many plants I could grow in it. Currently met somebody who said they grew 6 plants in their 4X4 which I thought was wild. The most I have done is 3 and it seemed crowded but wanted to hear everybody else’s experience if you have packed more than 4 in that size of a tent. Thanks!

It’s really a personal choice. In my setup I prefer 2-4 plants in my 4x4 and I let them veg 4-6wks before flowering. I watched a guy on YouTube talk about running 16 clones at the same time in his 4x4. I’m guessing he’s straight to flower though.

I would do 4 minimum.
I usually have 4 in a 3x3 but dont veg much longer than 4 to 5 weeks.

4 works good…I use 7-gallon grow bags. I have done 5 a few times, but used 5-gallon grow bags.

I think it has more to do with your lighting than your tent size. I have a 4x4 tent with a 4x4 light and I’ve grown 9 plants successfully (tight but worked out okay)

For the most part I like 6 plants in a 4x4 but my 4x4 light hits every crevice in that 4x4 space. That I believe is more important that you have adequate lighting to accommodate the amount of plants that you put in. Just my $0.02

I’ve got 3. Easy access and helps get the plants in and out for feeds.

The Growmies have you covered. Adequate lighting is probably the biggest factor in any given space. I grow 4 in 4x4 under 760w (overkill) and get wall to wall action with very little training required. I top, lollipop, and let the ladies do the rest.

Stay lifted and be well :hugs:
