Well, after a haircut and a trim she seems rather happy. Getting bigger.

Have a trimming question? (See picts) 2 leaves on very bottom of plant right side and left side if you will seem useless to me, any reason I shouldn’t just remove them ar the main stalk??? Any reason not too??? Thanks. @BobbyDigital

You can take them. You won’t see any adverse reaction.

If they’re green I leave them be as they’re still putting in work for the plant. If they’re getting in the way of me watering though, they’re gone

@Audiofreak If they are not getting any light, then you may as well chop them off. Because it’s taking resources from the plant that is getting light.

If you have a grow tent, the Mylar is just reflection and not direct light. I don’t normally trim the bottom as I use those little popcorn nugs for taste testing aka nuke a small nug in a microwave on high for 1 minute. You will know real fast how your girl/girls are doing.

Your reading my mind. Watered yesterday and lhey were in the way, just thinking she could use the energy spent for those 2 leaves to grow in shadow vs it going elsewhere???

Mrpete, they get plenty of light as they are growing longer to reach past the upper canopy, it the energy use that is the question I guess.

She’s got plenty of roots by now and isn’t spending much energy on those leaves. I grow in a scrog so all the stuff will be gone eventually. I just leave them be until my canopy fills in. But like I said last post, if they’re in the way, I get rid of them.

Just saw your pics, they’re super close to the soil, I’d get them out of there.

@Audiofreak I just looked at the photos and yes, get rid of those bottom leaves. They will just rot due to the leaves will end up touching the soil. You don’t want leaves touching the soil for this very reason.

Your photos took some time to load. Our first internet sucks here.

Maybe my settings for camera resoultion is too high.

@Audiofreak Nah…our internet is bad.

Looks like the topping worked well a few days after and growing well.

Are these sites potential additional topping sites???

I only top once. But if you want to top more, wait for your two new tops to grow out then top those.

Would it be too early to start trimming fan leaves for light penetration??? Transplaanted on the 10th.

I went ahead a took a few of the big fan leaves off and it really opened the plant to better light penetration. Looks like bud sites starting to show

I’ll take her out tomorrow and look her over real good and deside if I will start spreading her out a little to get her started. I have a lot of room for her to spread out in!

I started her training this morn. Would like feedback on my “ham handed” efforts. Only broke one branch! Taped and hoping. Could use some input here as I am flying by my ass

Trying to bend to the left and right of pot to align with the 2x4 tent.

Looks good! One thing you can do when bending is find the stress point of the bend and rub that spot with your thumb and finger. With enough pressure it should soften that spot up so it doesn’t snap.

I’m doing the rubbing thing by feel (no pun intended) kinda learning as I go. Only broke one so far (very lowest branch). Ajusted them today as they grew 2 Inches in the last 2 days. I’m thinking I may have to flip her within 2 weeks or so.
