The 2 on the right are sour moose, left side is Maui moose both dirty bird genetics Maui moose will be in rdwc. I’m actually excited to try out autopots should be fun , I’ve heard lots of good things about them. We’ll be using mega crop 1 part but may change that to the 2 part depending on what one may work better as far as clogging up the system, the one part has worked great in my hydro setup but not sure with small diameter feed lines, so any input is appreciated on this.
Here’s my coco prep
10lb brick, enough for 2 nine gallon fabric pots, use warm water approximately 4+ gallons and slowly pour over brick and break up a little at a time don’t pour water all at once or you’ll just make a mess. Once that’s done you need to rinse it either using a colender or screen of some sort I used a colender but need to rethink that as that’s like using a teaspoon to rinse 10 lbs of coco, anyway I got that done then you need to soak it in calmag 3-5 ml/gal for 24hrs to pre charge it so it won’t cause issues later ( it’s a coco thing). Then squeeze the crap out of it to ring out all the excess water, then your ready to mix perlite at 30% and add to pots. When all is said and done they are ready for the girls, I’m going to hand water for about 7-14 days to establish the roots the hopefully turn on the system and let em rock and roll. Gonna be running my hydro at the same time so we’ll see how it compares
Ok gots 2 in there forever home now both sour moose from dirty bird genetics, should be a good day time smoke by the description anyway. Tonight we drop the other 2; into my rdwc setup wanted to do that yesterday but ran out of time these 2 are maui moose and also with close to the same characteristics as the sour moose one difference is maui can produce pink pistols depending on the pheno I got, time will tell on that. So it’s time to rock and roll
Almost forgot I did moisten the pots which are 9 gallon ( that’s what came with the setup) with about 1 gallon EA of light nutrient feed 2.5 g/ g of mega crop 1 part, 2 ml/g of Humboldts calmag and ph’d to 5.9 ppm was 660 with my tap water at 180, I don’t normally use calmag so we’ll see how this works out. I think that’s it for now
Got my hydro up and running and plants in place . I’ve got several pieces of new equipment for this setup parastaltic pump and ec/ ppm AI hydro senser as well as a new AI controller ( I’m a tech geek if ya couldn’t tell) . I’m not utilizing them as of yet but everything is hooked up, gonna need to figure this stuff out yet, so here are some pics of the setup
These girls are maui moose also dirtybird genetics, fed these girls the same as my autopots
Silica= 2 ml/gal
Mega crop 1 part= 2.5g/ gal
Didn’t feed calmag as my last three grows didn’t need it so left it out, if anything I might need to add Epsom at some point for magnesium my tap water probably has calcium in it already ( well water, ppm 180).
Ph’d to 5.8
So I guess all 4 girls are set for now, we’ll see how all this goes
Screen shot of the AI+ controller with hydro sensor hooked up , I definitely like it once I hook up the pump and figure it out it should help a lot with ph swing’s
