2/3 teaspoon is what the packaging called for.
That was after, yes.

are you eyeballing the 2/3 nutrients or do you have something you’re measuring it with?
1.) Get a cup from your cabinet pull your tap water in it
2.) measure the tap water and post ppm back here
That was my typo I meant to say teaspoon
Okay that’s more realistic. Damn buddy you got some low PPM tap water.
Okay here’s what I want you to do. Put another 2/3 teaspoon into that same gallon that you already put a teaspoon in shake it up real good measure it again and post the PPM
This will be
2X 2/3 teaspoons
You have the best tap water on planet Earth you’re just fine!
pH that water that you just mixed up with the two times feed to 6.5
Feed your girl and tell me what the runoff PPM and pH is
It’s so strange because of last week you said you were pH of your tap water was 220 PPM
First off let’s start with your pH. It’s too high it needs to be 6.5 (we can work on that on your next feed) I don’t know why your pH is jumping up so high.
Tomorrow morning I’m going to jump over here and tag a few of the I❤️GM administrators to find out why the PPM of a full strength feed is only 200 PPM
Did you calibrate the pH on that new pen when you received it?
You had another pH pen not the yellow one I think it might have been blue.
Do you still have the runoff that you can test the pH with the blue pen?
When you calibrate the pH pens make sure you do it by the instructions included and use distilled water if you can have your pH pen both your blowing and your new one calibrated by the next feed it will help us.
I’m also concerned about the calibration of the EC/ppm of your new meter from Amazon.
Here’s why I say.
A
The lowest PPM tap water I’ve ever seen is 120ppm and yours is 29 PPM
B
If you look at your nutrient feed chart it says that a 2/3 tsp equals 700 PPM you’re giving me a total of 200 PPM
You do see my red flag concern
I know the new pH pen comes with three calibration packs.
You should get some calibration liquid off of Amazon to calibrate your ppms. There’s way too many inaccuracies in what I’m seeing.
I’m truly trying to help you buddy. But I see some red flags. I’m pretty good at catching things that just don’t look right.
For now your girl’s going to be just fine. Tomorrow morning I’ll do a post with all the questions to the admin and get some answers on the nutrient PPM
I know and i absolutely appreciate all the help you have given me thus far, theres really only so much a google search can do, its so much easier to be able to get first hand knowledge from more experienced growers.
We did a quick calibration of the new pen, the numbers arent too too far off:
Her lights have juat turned off for the night. Hopefully she’ll be in a better mood tomorrow. ![]()
Thank you so much for being so helpful thru all of this.
You want to get the 1314 calibration solution every time I try to post the link it post the wrong link
Just placed an order ![]()
Great 1314 solution is what you need for the pen that you have.
I’ll get some answers in the morning and we’ll go from there
Why?
I have PPM calibration solution 1000PPM.
My PPM meter, not calibrated (by me) reads 990.
I have PH-Calibration solution, cleaning, and storage solutions.
Apera 20 and 60 read and calibrate good, always.
Getting the correct readings is important.
Friends with USN-NEC/WC 670 peoples, convinces me of the importance.
Compromised two of 5 grows over PH issues, TBT.
is specifically for his pen
