Yellowing Seedlings, LED VivoSun Lights

Hi guys,

first time grower and poster here. Looking for some tips for my girl. She is turning yellow at the tips on the first two sets of leaves…I did some research and I’m hearing all kinds of stuff but the one that sticks out the most is over watering. I try my hardest not to over water so I’m not sure what the issue could be. Nitrogen? Also, is it time to transplant? She’s been in the peat pellet since 6/3/21. Please give me some pointers, advice, anythingggggg

They are in need of transplant to a larger pot.

Be sure to use a cannabis friendly soil such as Fox Farm, Roots Organics, Black Magic,…

I thought so! I have the Fox Farm soil, so should I clip the yellow leaves off after I transplant? Also how long after I transplant do you recommend I use nutrients? At least a day or 2?

Depends on which FF soil you are using:

Ocean Forest needs no nutrients for ~6 weeks and Happy Frog needs no nutrients for ~4 weeks. You risk burning your plants if feeding too early.

The best way to manage nutrients is to get yourself a PPM meter and manage nutrients to acceptable PPM levels.

I’d put them in bigger containers. If they are autos, I’d put them in their forever home. That tap root has no place to grow as they are.

Happy growing.

I have Ocean Forrest so I guess I should be good for a while! So with the transplant, should I clip those yellow leaves or just leave them and see what they do after transplanting? I’ll need to order the PPM meter and it might take a few days to get here, do you think I should transplant today or can this wait another day until I get the meter?

You don’t “need” the meter to transplant. I don’t even use one for my grows, but I’m using super soil and dry amendments.

And I wouldn’t worry about clipping leaves at this point. Maybe later after they’ve acquired some height.

You won’t need the meter for another 5 or 6 weeks if in Ocean Forest. Their is no reason to measure PPM until it gets close to time to start feeding nutrients.

Cut that material off around the peat plug when you transplant to not give the roots a hard time to spread out.

Definitely replant time and definitely cut that mesh off , I’ve stunted a lot of clones using jiffy’s before I read that fullas thread and realised  as for cutting of the yellow, personally I wouldn’t no need , the plants will take what they can out of them anyways. Beside do you know what strain they are ? Photo or auto? Anyways you couldn’t have landed in a better forum if one existed  good luck set to watch

Transplant into bigger pots! 6” give her some water, with recharge, to build stronger root growth. Plus lower the led to 35/40% for early growth. then you see a difference like I do,
I take a standard clone for example venom we had 25 of them I put venom in a bucket with all the nutrients nice air stone to recharge within five days venom was over a foot tall
