Pineapple express 5 1/2 weeks old. Was given to me at 1 week old and I put it in FFOF 5 gal aerated pot. Gave it one micro dose of Fox Farm liquid plant food(0-0.5-0.7) at around 2 weeks old. Didn’t give it anymore nutrients until close to 5 weeks old which was a 1/4 dose of FF Tiger Bloom (2-8-4). Any other feedings have been distilled water ph adjusted to around 6/6.5. Spider farmer 4000 led, 5x5 tent, ac infinity 8" fans on both exhaust and intake running at various speeds (still trying to dial it in) temp/hum run around 75-77 F. And 48%. Not happy with that but I’m working on solutions. The first sign of the yellowing leaves was one of the biggest fan leaves. I let it go for a bit thinking it might come out of it but then the brown spots showed up and it just got worse. Idk if I messed up or not, but I clipped it when I knew it was beyond the point of no return. But its spread to other leaves now, not sure what it is or what to do. This is my first grow and kind of a test run before I fill the tent up, any help would be greatly appreciated so I can prevent this in the future. As you can probably tell, I tried out a little LST but ended up taking all but one tie-down out when it started to flower. Cal mag.
This looks so isolated it makes me think pest. Check under leaves for thrips. They make leaves look like this too. Especially if you have had these plants outside for any length of time.
I was thinking what @Nicky said. Have you been checking runoff for ph and ppm? If you are in straight FFOF you shouldn’t of had to feed at week 5. I did top half FFHF and bottom half of my pots in FFOF. My ppms were good until About week 8. I know every situation is different, but I’ve read it a lot on here that about week 8 in FFOF you will need to start feeding. So as I said I agree with @Nicky about the calmag. But I would think you should have plenty of nutes left in your soil. So maybe your getting locked out due to imbalance in your soil ph. I’d be interested in seeing what your runoff ph is. But also… @Reticence makes an excellent point as it is very isolated. I didn’t even see the yellow leaves at first glance. Most of the plant looks good…so maybe @Reticence is on to something. IMO…is check your runoff values next watering. And also inspect for bugs. Hope this helps

@NugFlush I grew in fox farms mix and I found after week 4 or 5 you needed to give more nutes depending on the plant/genetics and if it’s an auto or photo (photos use more nutrients)
So he looks like it’s time to feed considering the light green leafs, they definitely arnt nice dark green.
@Nicky. Good point. That’s why I put “every situation is different”. That was my safety net. In case I was wrong. Lol. I was just going off what I’ve heard the most on here. And it seems week 7 and 8 is when most growers start feeding in FFOF. But as you correctly noted…there is always exceptions to the rule (not that week 8 is a rule either) more like an estimate I guess. But runoff ppms is the only true answer on when to feed. And I wasn’t really considering the auto versus photo theory as well.
Oof your suspicion was correct @Nicky. Not looking good today. Much more yellow. I watered yesterday with just ph adjusted water and the run off tested at 6.5. I unfortunately didn’t measure ppms. I never saw any bugs either. So you recommend starting nuts, what I have readily available is the fox farm trio. You mentioned cal mag, I can try to find some locally but my resources are limited in my town
@NugFlush I’m still pretty wet behind the ears but trying to catch up. From what I gather, FF changed the formula of the ocean forest at some point so some of the information I’ve came across is probably outdated. I need to do more research to find out when they changed it so I can decipher what’s relevant these days
I use ff trio and I’m two weeks into flower right now. This is my first grow so take it for what it’s worth. I recall watching a video on ff soil ant they recommend no feeding for the first up to 5 weeks. Your there now plus you have flowers. They tend to use more nutes for sure. Dont take this as gospel but if it were me I’d go half a full dose of all 3 bottles next feeding. If it shows improvement go 3/4 dose next feeding. Etc.
You will need to buy some cal mag even if it’s just off amazon that’s fine.
Water your plant with ph’d water and collect a run of sample, then do the math as to how much nutrients the plant needs for its stage of life.
So 1200 ppm let’s say is your max.
If your run off has 200ppm make sure the water/feed you give has no more than 1000ppm
Order cal mag you can do it on non feed days.

To make a long story short, I didn’t have the proper amount of time I needed to prepare myself to my own standards. Too much information out there. You said you switched to coco right? I’m already eyeballing some Mother Earth for my next grow. Do you have any other suggestions? I have 20 white widow seeds on deck so I can experiment a little
Mix it with perlite, 40% perlite roughly.
In the future buy dry nutrients, Jack’s is the easiest to get. You only need 3 bags of things and nothing else, it’s cheap and grows just as good as anything.
FIM your plants at the 4th node, then if you have the time do a little low stress training to help spread them out.
Environmental controls are the most important so your actual setup needs to be steller lights, airflow, controllers to control temp and humidity dail in your VPD. Print a VPD chart off and hang it in your grow area.
Aside from that I highly highly recommend autopots using fabric pots. I think growing any other way is to much work lol

Got my cal mag in the mail today.i watered yesterday with FF tiger bloom. May have helped a little but not sure yet. When and how do you recommend to apply the cal mag? Think she’ll pull out of it? Should I clip the really dead leaves or just leave them and then remove them when they fall off?
She won’t heal the damage, you can pull those dead leafs off.
Feed the cal mag when you give water, take a run off sample and thst should tell you how much you need to feed of actual nutritients
Definately pinch or cut off the dead and dieing leaves. They’re not benefiting the plant anymore and they are using nutes the buds need. All I’ve read on feeding calmag is doing it every other watering in between feeding every other time. Not sure how much. Sorry Nicky didn’t see your post before I sent mine ugh lol.
