Continuing the discussion from Leaf diagnosis for new grower:
First time grower. My plants are about 3 weeks old and they turning yellow on the edges. Please can anyone help me to diagnose the problem. I don’t know how to download the pictures yet, but any advice will be appreciated.
When you go to reply there’s a button that says upload pick your picture wait for it to download 100 percent then reply a picture will help tremendously sounds like nutrient burn possibly
@kaliboss it helps if you have a photo under natural lighting to help make a diagnosis of your plant. If you could fill out a help ticket so we understand your growing conditions? We want to help, but we can’t with out up to date information.
Such as If it’s hydroponic if it’s medium what kind of medium (soil) & the lights you are using all that information will be very helpful

PH- around 6. But I have to say I fixed the Ph level recently
a few days ago. It was 7,6 before.

Humidity: Don’t have the meter yet
Vent System: Through the wall exhaust fan and I have a 1/12" pvc pipe into the room for co2.

@kaliboss I would say it’s nutrient burn with out a picture. Just water no nutrients for another week possibly two, and see how she turns out.
Sorry it took me so long. I had to update my computer. But thank you for your advice.

@kaliboss natural lighting is best. But making an educated guess from the purple pictures, it’s nutrient burn. Just water for a week, and start again slowly, see how they respond.

What brand and type of soil?
Those 5 gallon buckets have got lots of holes in them for air and drainage?
How old are they and how long have they been in that growing medium?
how are you measuring / fixing your pH?
Was is NPK 16-4-8? Brand name and type. How often are you giving them and in what manner?

Each bucket has a six 1/2" holes on the bottom.
They are 3 weeks old and they’re like this I would say for more than a week.
I have a digital Ph meter.
I bought the fertilizer from Amazon
N as a nitrogen 16%
P as a Phosphate (P2O5) 4%
K as a Potassium (K2O) 8%
Here is my problem. The leafs started turning yellow before I gave them any nutrient. I’m using a moisture control potting mix from Miracle-gro and they’re saying it could feed up to six months. I started using a fertilizer NPK-16-4-8 after the yellow shows up, but that didn’t help eighter.
Am doing a lot of research lately and guessing a heat stress?
Here is why. My grow room is in the middle of the storage room and that room is not heated, so every time I open the grow room, the temperature drop at least 15 degrees, because it’s really cold outside these days.
The other thing my thermometer was close to the floor and when I raised the meter a couple of feet, the temperature was suddenly over eighty degrees.
Also, I didn’t have any fan inside. I add the fan only a few days ago.
Do you think that cost could be from a heat stress?
Any thoughts will be appreciated. Otherwise, I’m lost.

PH (WAS) way out. Residual PH imbalance will take 2 weeks to clear up-as long as you don’t let go out of range again. But your pots are too big (too late now?); the bigger the pot the longer it takes to clear the PH imbalance. Go to emergency DI water and monitor PH before starting nutes (slowly) again. Your harvest will be postponed proportionately. Just don’t pull them out or give up and let them die, though. Work them back to health…
I would never pull them out. I’m getting up in the midddle of night and trying to figure it out whats wrong with my babies :-). If its a ph level, I’ll keep an eye on it like a hawk from now on. Well its a first time indoor experience, so I know I’m making a lot of mistakes, but I belive I’ll get better. Thanks everybody to helping me out with my new hobby.
