Wind, Light, or Nutes?

So my ladies are looking as beautiful as I could hope, however there are some leaves that look funky.

My best guess is it’s a combination of low humidity and wind burn but I could use a bit of assurance.

Wind burn usually presents itself with more physical leaf damage, not so much as a deficiency. Serrated edges curled, leaf tips pointed or gnarled somewhat. You look to be showing some nitrogen deficiency, as indicated by the lighter green, with a little P and/or K starting.

What nutes are you using, and what are your pH/ppm numbers going in and coming out?

Interesting, I’m using the GH trio and the pots are autopots so I don’t get runoff. Currently 824ppm, 1640uS/cm and 6.2ph

Are you in coco or soil? If coco, try dropping pH to 5.9ish. If not using CalMag, I’d add a little before mixing nutes. Blemishes won’t go away, but shouldn’t spread.

I edited my previous post, to say, if coco. If you’re growing in coco drop pH down.

Yup, I’ve been adding calmag and keeping it around 6ph from the beginning and some armor Si. I haven’t changed much besides my light and increasing the nute doses… more heat was added in there so that’s why I was thinking heat/wind/humidity.

Oh shit! I think I might know now… I’m dumb, I think it could be ph from spritzer, though I don’t spray the plants I spray above the fan and let it boost humidity…

Heat would usually have upwards curling or canoeing leaves. What is your feeding schedule, how much how often? I noticed the hose on top, I thought autopots used bottom feeding systems?

White hose is RO output from the AC in another room

I’d avoid spraying unless you’re fighting pests or mildew. They’re established enough that they can adapt to a lower humidity if needed. In winter, I consistently stay under 45% the entire grow lol.

Yup, that’s why I said I’m dumb lol… so the autopots are bottom fed but the black hose going in is for the air pump

Zoiks, I get confused with more than a bucket and a spoon to mix with

Lmfao, it is all bucket and spoon for feeding, just up the spoons…

Gotcha. Sometimes air pumps can cause a little pH flux due to oxygenation of the water. But your number are pretty good. Do you have to do any root touch up in autopots? I use AC Infinity self watering bases, and you gotta do some root maintenance here and there as they will clog lines or sit in nutrients

That I don’t know too much about, from the research I did there was no mention bout root maintenance and I don’t quite see how I would go about it without taking all the coco out. There technically shouldn’t be issues because there’s a gravity pump that fills the resivour below the pots when it empties then fills it back up to an inch so the roots don’t soak, however with liquid nutes I don’t know how well it gets dissolved into the water, the GH Micro tends to like to leave a residue as well…

There’s also a root blocking fabric so the only issue I can think of with the autopot is if the roots bind too the air pump at the bottom of the pot and get too much air but anyways, I’m 5ish weeks to harvest for 2 plants 7 for the one with the leaf issues but it is only like 2 leaves so I’m not too worried, just needed a good sanity check.

Ty for the help!

Nice looking plants. Are you running air because there is no perlite in your coco, I don’t see any perlite? I run coco with about 40 percent perlite in auto pots. I don’t use the air domes, it seemed more complicated to me when I started using auto pots. Just a thought for next grow.

That’s right, I use the domes because I didn’t mix anything into the coco. I know roots like to wrap around anything and everything so I was thinking it would increase the risk of root binding by adding it in. I’m thinking of doing a layered FoxFarms mix next run and running straight water through it. I’m just starting out so I still have a few decades to become an expert but I’ll share my ignorance with you all and enjoy the learning process.

Just to update anyone curious, 100% nutrient issue, I checked the resivour this morning and they are going through water like a sieve, these girls belong in the red light district for how thirsty they are lmfao. Up to 870ppm and may increase if needed.

Anyone have any results using this? I’m thinking it can only help but would like some more tried and tested information.

Here’s my update, as I said this morning I filled the res and bumped the nutes, I also did some top feeding with the res waterto saturate the coco.

Here’s the main bud on the “closest” to harvest… 5-7 weeks still I’m thinking. I’m getting a better camera for trics so you’ll have to suffer with an s10 pic…
