I have one girl I am like within a week or two of harvesting and my buds are all fluffy there are no firm buds. How do I get from her buds? I grow hydroponically and I live in Florida and right now it’s flowering outside
No expert here but what strain? I noticed that my sativa dominant strains are more fluffy outdoors than indica dominant hybrids. My family just grinds and rolls the larfy stuff - I don’t imbibe.
Do you have any pics of the whole plant and some individual buds?
What are you using to light your plant? Do you maintain proper PPM and pH?
The most common cause for fluffy buds is inadequate light and/or nutrients (emphasis on lighting.)
I agree it’s a sativa and I’ve do not get real good buds with sativa
I keep it between six and 800 usually about 700 and I do that with all my plants and I grill hydroponically and yes my ppm’s and pH is in balance all the time well sometimes it gets out of balance but for the most part that’s doing good
I live in Florida and up until this past week of two weeks ago yo it was getting 12 hours of light
I hate to be the one to tell you but looks like you got quite a bit of bud rot gong on.
Here’s one spot, will probably be more
The white spots look a lot like pest issues. Mites most likely.
Agreed with @Hellraiser. There is a pretty fair amount of bud rot going on. It looks to be on just about every bud.
So I need to throw it out?
Cut out and toss any brownish buds like I circled in the above picture and if there is anything worth saving give it a wash with peroxide.
I know thank you so much for getting back to me it’s the worst one ever and I don’t know why this is the one I’ve kept with up with the most. Any white you saw in a photo was PVC pipe supporting those fluffy buds I appreciate any advice you can give me
You may need stronger lights cause light intensity is a big player for firm buds there are a couple of things that cause fluffy buds to much water and not enough light intensity
Since it’s not yet legal to grow in Fla, I assume the plant was hidden or camouflaged. That might have blocked too much of the lovely Florida sunlight. That would also account for the rot due to decreased airflow.
Fluffy airy buds are almost always a lighting issue.
I never saw if this was an auto or photo?
That might have an impact depending on who you ask
Yo i have this right now. They look very similar. The strain i have is from Royale queens seeds. It’s supposedly purple lemonade. And the buds look so huge but when you hold it and get closer they’re so airy. Seems like a waste of time. But idk. If only there was something to buy to fix this.
There is. Better lighting.
