so, this is my second grow of autoflower white widows, first was widow + blue dream. using coco-perlite pro-mix with fox farm nutes in 5.8 to 6.0 ph water, and 2k watt led lighting @ 18/6 schedule, keeping temps around 70-75. the first round took 12 weeks total above ground, but had 1 odd phenotype that was finished @ 10 weeks and was very thick with dense buds. this round, i have 1 odd phenotype again, and it is ready @ the beginning of week 8.
trichomes are 99%milky, plenty of red hairs and very dense. plant only reached 12inches tall, and the other 3 are 18-20 inches and have 80% milky trichomes. i estimate they will go another 2 weeks to finish. is this pretty normal for autos to pop so quickly? estimates from ilgm are 10-14 weeks to harvest…should i harvest it now, or let it go another couple of weeks?

Based on the overall appearance of the plant, I would say let her ride another week or two. It may be a phenotype thing but the buds don’t really look “done” to me - I.e. they look like they are getting ready to have a round of bulking up. I wouldn’t guarantee it, since it really could just be a bizarre pheno, but I’m inclined to say if you pull now you’ll get a potent but small yield. If you let her hang out for a while, you may lose a little potency but gain some notable bud weight.
thanks for the input on this, i almost pulled it last night when i saw the trichomes, but figured i would wait and put it out there for some input from the more experienced folks!
the potency has been tops on the last round, ( equal with my local dispensaries’ white widow)
but i would also like to see more bulk as well…
ain’t that the truth. The worst part is it’s usually accurate too
