You’ll be fine to add compost tea. It will make the microbial life in your soil happy for sure.

With teas you are mainly helping to feed the soil. I started my grow with half strength tea for thier first tea which is about the 3 week mark. Just mix your tea with half water after brewing.

Im guessing you are doing a living soil?, if so remember try not to water to run off. Plus they are still young.

@410grower I’m not to far ahead of you on my current grow, And our set ups look similar. I’m running 3gal living soil in a 2x2 compared to your 3x3. I’m also using the ACI self watering bases which I started a couple weeks ago. I have most of my grow on my thread if you check it out, could help you some

Yup. A good well balanced tea will help those girls really take off.

What medium are you growing in and how old are the ladies from seed? I see week 2 of veg…

I top feed. Pouring in slow circles to ensure the soil has had time to absorb the moisture without it pooling out the sides or leaving dry patches under the soil.

Also with teas, aeration is key. Make sure I’ve bubbled/agitated/shaken that solution to high heck and back. The more bubbles, the absolute better.

What kind of tea are you using? Homemade concoction?

Happy Frog? What’s nls?

I would not recommend bottom feeding your teas. As if they sit out to long can become bad introduce things we dont want. Also teas would eventually gunk up the lines for wicking up. The lines are best used for water only.

I’m also using NLS but different soil base. Making my teas with NLS formula.

@PurpNGold74 NLS is natures living soil

Ahh thanks!

So I’m guessing a layered combo of happy frog at top, nls at the bottom? Teas would be perfect in that case.

Two weeks in to an NLS run Might be a little early for a tea. The FFHF alone should have enough nutes to carry you 3 or 4 weeks plus the NLS is loaded in its own right. Your plants are just getting into the bottom of the pot now, an explosion of growth is imminent. Giving the tea is fine, it wont burn your plants per se but too much of anything is bad. Watch your leaves if they start to show signs of nitrogen excess you might wanna back off a little on the tea. Contrary wise if she likes it and doesnt get pouty one tea each week is a decent place to be. If things start getting dicey you can always email Richard at NlS and he will answer any questions you might have. He always responds within 24 hours and he is very helpful. Got any GFP?

I make my teas with worm castings and seabird quano. During flowing ill cut the castings back but still add a little for the nitrogen. Also during flower, ill add unsulphured molasses. As someone mentioned above, the more bubbles the better.
